Mother of 3 shares how her adventure at Disneyland was nothing like she imagined since her childhood.
Disneyland is 'the' dream for many people. The characters of the Disney Universe have huge appeal due to the warmth it gives to people of all ages. Many across the world have some attachment to at least one Disney character. It could be the beautiful princesses, the brave superheroes, or the close-to-heart animated characters. People want to hug these characters, feel their presence, and enjoy the rides that give them an experience of a lifetime. People who did not get the opportunity of having that experience as children try to give it to their own kids. But as the popular saying goes, "Grass is always greener on the other side." Something similar happened with @chrys_marie1 when she tried to fulfill her childhood wish of visiting Disneyland by taking her children there.
In Marie's own words, her experience of Disneyland was a "sh**show." She shared her awkward experience on TikTok. Even though the day did not go as planned, the voiceover reveals that she and her family found a lot of humor in their unexpected exploits. At their entry, their trials started, "So immediately security stops us and presents us with two options: take the wagon back to the car, or they'll kindly dispose of it."
The day for their dream adventure was also not in their favor as it was scorching. It was so hot that they had to get their kids a $87 fan to deal with the weather. Then they finally got the chance to go on a ride, "Finally, after two hours, we got on our first ride—which was only a 55-minute wait." The ride might have been great, but the children got so tired that the parents had to get them a $12 popsicle.
The family then went on their second ride and for that, they waited 70 minutes. The family seems to be taking hit after hit. At one point, her son started to cry out of frustration. "'Why did you guys bring me to Disneyland? I'd rather be watching my iPad,'" Marie said in the video. Also, her son had to follow her sister to a teacup ride because her sister 'gets everything.' The family's next objective was to find a restaurant with less wait time. After a long struggle, they were successful in their pursuit. Unfortunately, contrary to the son's opinion, his sister did not really get everything as she could not hug her favorite character, Minnie Mouse.
The family did find something to behold from their adventure, the 10-minute fireworks show at the end of the night. Marie put a bow on the entire narration with the words, "Then we ended it by buying a $400 light saber for Mav. And that's a wrap on the most unhappiest f****** place on earth." The family will surely remember this adventure for a long time.
The comment section shared their own experiences of visiting Disneyland. @mandyvercher could relate to their situation, "Thank you for a realistic view of Disney. I never felt so much anxiety and anger at the happiest place on earth." @abby.h.scheffler finally found her views represented, "I thought I was crazy for being irritable all day spending money, waiting in long lines, and sweating an ungodly amount while listening to crying."
