The letter was written by her husband, dated August 5, 2024. It read, "Wishing you a happy first day at work! You're going to do a great job. Your whole family is here to support and love you. I hope your colleagues are friendly and helpful. Take pictures of your workplace! You can tell me all about your day when you come home. I love you!" The wholesome letter had a picture of mom, dad and two kids, possibly drawn by her kids. She captioned her post, "Today is my first day of work after being unemployed for 8 months and I found this note from my husband when I opened my laptop." Starting a new job can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. This simple and sincere message touched many, reminding them of the importance of having loved ones who care and encourage us, especially during significant life changes.

People in the comments loved the sweet gesture by the family and shared their views. "Kids did you dirty in that drawing, as they always do. I love it. Congrats on the job!" said u/RhoynishRoots. "Usually the size a child makes someone in a drawing is more indicative of how important they are to them than how they actually see them physically. So, pretty big compliment here!" commented u/Standard-Ostrich61. "Your 'heart' is so big!!! This is a beautiful sentiment from your loved ones! I'm very envious of you!" added u/itsaimeeagain. "So nice! It's wonderful your family is thinking of you. Hope you had a terrific day," shared u/jkrm66502. "That is the sweetest message ever! You're so lucky to have a loving family, but that drawing of you is the cherry on top. Congratulations!" u/EchoEllies pointed out. "Oh my God, keep him forever. He's so sweet" u/Katslovemilk appreciated the husband's efforts

While talking about tips to make a good first impression at your new job or even if you are restarting your career after years or months, Erin McGoff (@erinmcgoff), on TikTok, has shared three essential tips to help employees start strong and build good relationships while setting necessary boundaries for starting strong at a new job, as first impressions are crucial for shaping an employee's experience at a company. McGoff's first tip is to "set your tone." She advises employees to be authentic with their coworkers rather than pretending to be someone they're not. A genuine persona helps avoid confusion and misunderstandings later on.

The second tip is to "start a folder." McGoff recommends creating a digital folder on platforms like Dropbox or Google Drive to store compliments, achievements and awards. This folder serves as a valuable record when applying for future jobs. Lastly, McGoff emphasizes the importance of "setting your standards and boundaries." Establishing clear limits on what you're willing to do to prevents coworkers from taking advantage of your helpfulness. By defining your professional boundaries early, you ensure they are understood and respected.
