This golden retriever loves to climb onto the roof, and though it might shock neighbors and passersby, the dog's owners assure everyone that it's completely normal.

Pets can be endlessly entertaining, sometimes doing things that amuse their owners but concern others. That’s exactly what happened with Huckleberry, a golden retriever who loves climbing onto the roof of his house. Reddit user u/TheeLinker shared a picture of Huckleberry, whose roof-top adventures have caused neighbors and passersby to worry. This led his owners to post a special note on their door, asking people to "not be alarmed" if they spot the dog up high.

The note, accompanied by a playful picture of Huckleberry, explained his roof-climbing habit: "Huckleberry is living up to his name and learned how to jump onto our roof from the backyard. We never leave him in the backyard without someone being at home. He will not jump off unless you entice him with food or a ball! We appreciate your concern but please do not knock on our door. We know he is up there. But please feel free to take pictures of him and share them with the world," the note read. At the bottom of the note, there was a hashtag #hucktheroofdog that people might want to use to circulate Huckleberry's images on social media websites.

Huckleberry was dubbed as the "patron saint of the subreddit" by the person who shared his picture in the community that is dedicated to posting snaps of various pooches on rooftops. The comment section was delighted to see the pup enjoying his time on the roof and the owner's initiative to ease the worried folks who spot Huckleberry often. u/Soft_Cable_5864 commented, "I hope you make a way for him to jump down safely so that he doesn’t break a leg one of these times." u/BroughtToYouByCoke joked, "I'm sure Huckleberry is just chilling up there with some Coca-Cola. I wouldn't be alarmed." u/Someotherrandomtree added, "Do you constantly hear your dog walking around on the roof when you're indoors? Or is he not heavy enough for that?"

Huckleberry's owner, who goes by u/qmayer on Reddit, joined the conversation, sharing an image with Huckleberry. In an additional comment, Huckleberry's owner revealed that his dog is "definitely a goober and he barks at joggers to get more attention as if he needs it!" While Huckleberry might have found his passion for roof climbing, some pooches are simply more dramatic than others.

A dog owner from London thought that his beloved pet had some issue with his leg because he had been limping for a while. But after spending $400 on vet bills, he realized his dog was simply copying the owner's limp. The man named Russel Jones had to put on a plaster cast after a leg injury. He was using a cane to walk around and was visibly limping. Somehow, his dog Billy started to mimic him, which he shared in a since-deleted video on Facebook back in 2021. As of now, Billy has his own Instagram page called @billy_limping_lurcher.
