The holidays are always a difficult time for those who've lost loved ones as they remind us of the joyous moments we shared with them and will never get to relive again. However, one family got to feel the love of their late grandparents "one last time" this Christmas when they stumbled upon a box full of wrapped and labeled presents in the attic. In a series of videos that have gone viral on TikTok, a woman named Holly Brooke shared that her cousin made the heartwarming discovery in their late grandfather's attic shortly after his death.

"My grandfather recently passed away and my cousin found super old wrapped Christmas presents in the attic to my dad, my sister and I," reads the text overlay on the first video in the now-viral series. "We also found an old Christmas card with money in it from my great-grandparents who passed around 2002." In the video—which has been viewed over 6.9 million times since being posted earlier this week—a pair of hands is seen pulling out a total of seven wrapped gifts from a cardboard box. "This is wild! Mine say from Nana who passed in 2015. The rugrats wrapping paper makes me think these are way before then even," Brooke captioned the video.

The video struck a chord with many on the video-sharing platform, racking up nearly 3k comments. "They wanted to make sure you knew they were with you still this Christmas," wrote Allison Ann Miles. "Your grandpa was sending gifts from him and those he's now with. What a blessing," commented Alicea Swann. "My grandma knew she was dying and bought a Christmas present for us the year she passed, she died in June, and I balled so much seeing her handwriting," shared Amber Lynn Herrman.

In a follow-up video, Brooke gave her followers a glimpse of the cash-laden Christmas card found in the box. "It was addressed to me but it was from my MeMe and Homer which are my great grandparents. The bills looked super old and said 1995 series. My MeMe passed away in 2008, so it was from before then. But my little sister was born in 1995 so it had to be between then," the text overlay on the video states. Captioning the short clip, the TikTok user wrote: "Crazy this was just stored away for so long. I can’t wait to see what time period the gifts are from."

Subsequent videos revealed that the presents included a flashlight and a massage chair for other family members. "My grandfather had gifts for us for every visit whether it was a holiday or not," Brooke wrote in one. Upon unwrapping one of the gifts addressed to her, she found a light pink fleece robe. Explaining the significance of the gift, Brooke wrote: "Something I've put on almost every Christmas list is a cozy blanket. My grandparents were making sure I still got something I love from them one last time."

Meanwhile, her second present was a Snuggie in the exact same shade of pink as the fleece robe. "This is so my grandpa's humor though. 2 almost identical gifts but the most amazing thing I could have received from them," Brooke shared in the video caption. Commenting on a video of the TikTok user trying on the gifts, Bryony wrote: "There is something so special about getting these after they've passed, it's like they're giving you a hug in the only way they now can."
