A woman and her family got to know about her grandfather's diagnosis and they wanted to do something that would keep his memories alive.
Staying positive can be quite challenging when you know that you are about to lose one of your family members. However, this granddaughter and her family decided to create some good memories with their grandpa that would stay with them forever. The family got to know about her grandfather's cancer diagnosis two years ago. Devin Hance—who goes by @devinhance93 on TikTok—posted a video in which she and others are seen immortalizing their grandpa's hugs.
The 44-second video begins with Hance painting her grandfather's hands and arms green. Next, she is seen wearing a white T-shirt and her grandfather hugs her and his hands and arms get imprinted on her T-shirt. The granddaughter looks happy with the results. Another family member paints blue on the old man's hands and then asks him to hug him. The back of the man's sweatshirt has imprints of their grandfather. The woman then paints violet on his hands and asks her granddad to hug her again. In the end, the grandfather writes on the sweatshirt, "I love you!! He draws a heart symbol and writes his name, "Ricardo Rodriquez."
The video garnered over 29k views and was captioned, "Now we have Grandpi's hug forever." People in the comments were quite emotional after watching this. @mikeyrios44 commented, "Seeing this after burying my Abuelo last week hit me hard." @loverzlove wrote, "Who did he give love you the most to! Very sweet. I wish I had a chance to do this! And his writing is so neat." @jess.ana18 shared, "I wish this trend was around when my grandpa was still here." @sharicork said, "I love this idea. I wish I'd have known about it before my dad passed." Hance said that her grandpa is her best friend and that he was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer two years ago. However, their family nor their grandma wanted to waste the time they had together, reports BoredPanda.

In another story, a grandfather, Bradley, decided to record his voice to be played at his funeral when he died. A clip posted on X by one of his grandchildren showed the day the man's family and friends came together to mourn him at a south Dublin cemetery. All of a sudden, the music stopped and a voice started to echo out of Bradley's grave. It made people think that he was trying to escape from his grave. People heard banging noises and then a voice that said, "Hello? It is dark in here. Let me out. I can hear you. Is that the priest I can hear? I am in the box, can you hear that?" The attendees felt a fleck of joy after hearing his voice.
His daughter, Andrea, elaborated on what happened at the funeral. She said, "Here is a picture of the legend himself. My dad, Shay Bradley. It was his dying wish that we played this at his funeral. What a man. To make us all laugh when we were incredibly sad. He was some man for one man. Love you forever, Poppabear #Shayslastlaugh." The man was survived by his wife Anne and children, Jonathan, Susanne, James, and Andrea.
