Family doing 'whipped cream challenge' with elder members have us rolling on the floor with laughter

Some social media trends are so wholesome that they make your heart melt. A Japanese man, Kai Kojimoto (@kojimochi), shared a reel on TikTok doing the viral 'whipped cream challenge' with his family. He had his aged grandparents and other older members participate in the trend and the result had the internet in stitches. The enthusiastic spirit of the grandparents, coupled with their energy to try new things, is awe-spiring. 

The basic idea of the trend is to get a dollop of whipped cream on the back of one's hand and then tap on it with another hand such that the force causes the whipped cream to fly off and land in the person's mouth. Kojimoto and his family decided to go all out and give it their best. 

The younger members including Kojimoto were able to understand the job and get the whipped cream into their mouths or get as close to doing so as possible. Following them were Kojimoto’s grandparents and others who weren’t familiar with the trend. The first elderly man came in and did a stunning job and managed to almost get the entire dollop into his mouth. 

He was followed by another elderly man who adorably tried and managed to get the whipped cream halfway into the air. However, before he could eat it, he lost his balance and was reflexively forced to catch the dollop with his other hand, leaving everyone behind him chuckling.

He was followed by an elderly woman, who was too shy and giggly but tried anyway. She tried to hit her hand to get the dollop into the air but it wouldn’t move, causing her to giggle all the more in a delightful sight. After a few attempts and much laughter, she moved on, and in came the next woman, laughing away. 

She very naively hit her hand from the wrong direction causing the dollop to fall flat on the floor before she got a chance to catch it. Leaving everyone behind her in stitches, the woman got herself together and laughed her way out of the frame. The last elderly couple came into the picture and like the previous woman, this elderly man also adorably failed to get the dollop in the air and got it on the floor instead. The last woman tried her best to get the dollop into the air but couldn’t manage to make it move from her hand at all.

While most of the elderlies didn’t get a chance to ace the trend, they surely filled the room with laughter and had a wonderful time creating happy memories. People were smitten by the smiles and attempts of the grandparents. @j_p_b60 exclaimed, “I love the way they tried!” While others were screaming about how cute the sight was, @muxamil said, “The main thing is they had fun.” @ruuuuviii_ii said, “You’ve got the cutest, sweetest grandparents ever.”
