Family comes together to surprise little girl after 'Santa Claus' couldn't deliver on his promise

With the festive season approaching and Christmas celebrations around the corner, people are all set to end 2024 on a happy note. Many are preparing the best gifting experiences for their loved ones, while others are still calculating the options. In a similar way, in 2022, a girl was expecting a special present from Santa Claus, but for some reason, her wish wasn’t fulfilled. Her mom, Paola Del Valle—who goes by @paoladelvalle16 on TikTok—shared how the entire Hispanic family joined hands to prevent her daughter, Elisha, from feeling disappointed, surprising her with what she wanted: a playhouse.

In the video, Elisha’s brother can be seen leading her to a wooden, assembled space-cum-store room in their backyard. All the while, the little girl’s face was covered with a scarf to keep the suspense alive. As the siblings carefully walked past pipes lying on the ground, Del Valle read a message written on the entrance: “Merry Christmas from your family.” Del Valle tried to calm her daughter’s excitement, as Elisha was still giggling beneath the scarf. At this point, Elisha’s older brother uncovered her face and let her go inside the tiny “dungeon” with a washing machine and microwave placed inside.

The little girl looked around the structure before turning to her mom with a huge smile. It wasn’t at all like the fancy playhouses her friends might have had, but she was thrilled. Elisha began to thank her mom and siblings for the heartwarming surprise. Despite the playhouse being in a messy condition and needing a makeover, the girl was content. She was overwhelmed that her family had fulfilled her wish for a playhouse. “I will never forget your face and your emotion, daughter, and above all, never lose your humility,” Del Valle wrote in the caption, which gave a heartfelt message alongside the footage.

“This is your little house that you asked for, look,” said Del Valle as Elisha’s younger brother joined her to explore. The all-smiles girl nodded while looking at her mother. Upon seeing some cooking equipment inside, she exclaimed that she already had a kitchen and that they didn’t need to order food from outside. She was also happy to see a refrigerator. Meanwhile, the text overlay on the video had a message for those who often complain about life. “My daughter asked Santa for a little house to play in, and her siblings surprised her with something so humble,” it said. She added that Elisha was emotional upon seeing the rough yet heartfelt playhouse.

The wholesome incident, captured on camera on Christmas in 2022, is still being praised on social media. “Seeing the happiness on the girl’s face made the effort worth it. She’s as happy as she should be—what a beautiful moment,” @cortez_mariana2 said. “Beautiful video. This girl is so happy. She knows how to appreciate and be grateful. I wish more children were like her,” added @solecito_0909. @marisol.cruz26 remarked, “That is humility and the lesson you’re teaching your little girl. The princess’s face says it all.” Others complimented Del Valle for giving her daughter the “priceless gift.”
