Besides his exceptional driving skills, Daniel Ricciardo’s smile and personality have stolen our hearts for quite some time. Not just racing enthusiasts but even young children are his fans. A few years ago, 5-year-old Louis Pope had the most wholesome experience with his favorite F1 driver Daniel "Avocado." Formula1 posted a video on Twitter of the 5-year-old’s interaction with an interviewer, which bagged hearts and evoked heart-touching emotions.

When asked, “Who is your favorite driver?” the little Pope adorably responded, “Daniel Avocado.” While he earnestly could not pronounce the F1 driver’s last name, the internet, including Ricciardo himself, was in absolute awe of his new nickname. After the clip went viral, all the netizens created a whole era of Daniel “Avocado,” right from memes, merchandise, hashtags, you name it and it was there. Needless to say, the name tagged along with the actual green fruit.

The internet saw Ricciardo’s face surrounded by an avocado and that was the only trend popping up for quite some time. Any and every avocado reminded people all over the world of Ricciardo and it was laughter all around. This 5-year-old managed to get everyone chuckling and inspired others to get creative with several other sports star's names. Right from birthday wishes, greetings, cheering out loud, interviews and even general conversations, “Avocado” echoed everywhere and Ricciardo, for one, seemed to love it.

Twitter user @Circus_f1 took note of this epic new nickname and went on to make some hilarious art out of it. He created a “ripe” Daniel “Avocado” and what followed were a series of paintings and illustrations where Ricciardo was nothing but the gorgeous green fruit. The artist even got creative with other drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alphonos and others. At this point, anytime you say “Avocado” near Ricciardo, you can expect him to turn around and respond!

That’s not all. The fellow F1 drivers heard of this and could not hold back. @lewishamilton posted a stunning monochrome picture of himself with Ricciardo captioning it, “Avocado + Ham.” The Avocado title was now universally accepted and Ricciardo felt more famous than before! He couldn’t help but meet with the 5-year-old behind the master plan. What followed was an adorably exciting conversation between Daniel Ricciardo and Louise Pope.

Ricciardo hysterically asked Pope, “What do you reckon my name is?” To this, Pope replied confidently, “Daniel Avocado.” What followed was an enthusiastic interaction between the duo. Riccardo asked him, “Do you shave yet? Do you have a beard?” and several other questions like “Do you have a girlfriend?” These altogether got a slight blush on little Pope’s face, expressing how thrilling it felt to be there.

Several people sent in Avocado memes, GIFs and more in the comments sections. @Philbuckle said, “This is what the F1 I love is all about!” @REVOLP said, “So good of you Mr. Avocado!” Young Louis also had an avocado in hand, which he showed off to Ricciardo. The F1 driver asked, “What’s that?” And it immediately clicked, “Oh, that’s me.” This conversation couldn’t have been more wholesome. All in all, this tiny kid managed to keep a universal nickname for Ricciardo that runs popularly even today.
