Exchange student gets jaw-dropping graduation surprise from hosts and his reaction is priceless

As an exchange student, one has to stay away from their family and country for a long time. So, it's easy to understand how much they would miss their family and friends, and when they finally get to meet them, there is nothing like it. That's how this teen felt when his hosts surprised him with his family a day before his graduation. Jordan Aleece (@jordanaleece) shared a video on TikTok that begins with a young man walking into a restaurant and talking to them.

The clip has a text overlay that reads, "Surprising our exchange student with his family a day before his graduation." A woman can be heard asking him, "How was it?" and he is seen responding. Suddenly, his dad comes out from the table at the back, leaving the student looking stunned. His father then comes and holds the teen and is seen laughing. Meanwhile, he continues to look at his mom who is walking up to him and the moment she comes and hugs him, he starts crying. He then looks at his dad and continues to bawl. His parents hold his hand and talk to him.

The video received 4.4 million views on TikTok. People on the internet loved the family's reunion. @sarahelizabethw20 commented, "What a great memory for him to be able to celebrate with both his families like that. Being an exchange student was my biggest dream in high school." @marktark411 expressed, "It's gotta be tough being an exchange student and being away from your family. He was so stoic and then he cried and I cried. Beautiful moment."

Having someone familiar in this new environment you try so hard to fit into is overwhelming and wonderful." @buffieburnettevice wrote, "Love this! We had an exchange student from Denmark and we still talk today 28 years later. The teen's response to meeting his family shows how much he would have missed them and seeing them just made him emotional. He would have craved for this moment for months. 

In a similar story, Cata Ferran was surprised by her father at her basketball game. He traveled from Spain to surprise her. In a video of the surprise, her coach tells her that her host grandma has come to see the match so she waves at her and takes permission to go meet her. As she is about to reach her, she sees her dad in the stands and is shocked. She runs to him and gives him a tight hug. @beagle_2020 loved the moment and commented, "Now that is a dad who loves his daughter and would do anything for her... and a daughter grateful for her father." @roberwilliamson87 said, "Something you can’t describe with mere words." @lindsaysherfield wrote, "I’m bawling!
