'I went into the house and got a pen, some Post-its, some extra sticky duct tape, and a bright red, cheap extra-stay lipstick.'

A little cooperation can go a long way, and nothing tells this story better than an Oxfordshire woman and her compliance with an entitled musician. The user who goes by u/YupItWasMeMate shared a post on February 1, ranting about the obnoxious pub visitor who parked on her lawn and then refused to move. After trying the nice way, she plotted a chic revenge to ensure the man thinks a hundred times before parking in a spot that doesn’t belong to him. Let’s just say, if he wanted to play games, then she was the best player, and she proved it by ensuring he was left scrubbing his windows.
Park on my lawn? Enjoy cleaning your car windows for the next week or two…

The woman revealed that because she lives right opposite a pub where there is live music every week, people struggle to find parking. A genius who was struggling decided to park right on her lawn. “Driven up over the curb and nestled their piece of crap car between my flower pots and parked on the manicured grass,” she wrote. Immediately agitated, she went over to the pub and asked who the vehicle belonged to. She learned that it was one of the musicians. Not only did he not own up to his mistake, but he refused to move. She had tried the nice way, and now she knew she had to go all out.

“I went into the house and got a pen, some Post-its, some extra sticky duct tape, and a bright red, cheap extra-stay lipstick,” she wrote. Then, she got chaotic and creative. “I wrote ‘DO NOT PARK HERE’ in bright red lipstick on every single window,” she proudly mentioned, adding that she didn’t even spare the back windows. She went on to write the same thing on post-its and stuck them on the windscreen. Of course, post-its can stick on their own, but why take the risk? So she used up 2 feet of duct tape across each note. “I knew full well that whoever had parked there was probably watching me through the pub window,” she remarked. But that didn’t stop her.

“I hope they also enjoyed their drive of shame home, scraping the duct tape glue off the glass, and working out the rock-hard set lipstick,” she said. She went into a peaceful slumber, fully avenging her disturbed lawn, and the next morning put up a wooden post to ensure no one dares to try the stunt again. A 2025 study revealed that entitlement doesn’t have to necessarily be bad. It can show a person’s unique confidence and mark them as someone who is grounded and stands by their beliefs. Unfortunately, our world uses the toxic version of the trait.

The study noted that entitlement can be tied to narcissism and becomes negative when it is ignorant and dismissive of others. Known as “excessive or exploitative” entitlement, it demands from others outside of one’s beliefs and values. Clearly, this musician thought he’d get away by not showing up, but the woman assured him that she left him a response. People applauded her creativity and even pitched in more bizarre alternatives. u/Jeranimalltoo wrote, “Vaseline smeared on windows and door handles.” u/RiffyWammel suggested, “Park your car to block them in, when they come to move it, tell them you’ve been drinking and can’t drive until tomorrow.”
