People often talk about creating their own opportunities, but rarely do those opportunities arrive tucked inside a food delivery bag. Recently, one man took that route, and the gesture ended up being appreciated by thousands of people online. A recent post on LinkedIn caught attention after a Zomato delivery agent tried an unusual way to land a summer internship, where, instead of sending cold emails or applying through job boards, the student included a handwritten note with a customer's food order.

The story was shared by a user employed at Shopflo — a tech company — who had ordered food during a late shift. On the front of the paper, the message read, "I am a college student looking for a summer internship in marketing (NOT sales). Do contact me [number] (Only WhatsApp)." The back of the note included a quick apology, "Sorry for my terrible handwriting." The Shopflo employee posted the note with a caption that reflected how meaningful the gesture felt.

"That note hit me. Amidst the hustle of deliveries, this person still took a shot at reaching out — handwritten, bold, and hopeful," the user wrote. They went on to say, "It reminded me how opportunities don't always come through formal channels — sometimes, they're scribbled on paper in the middle of a delivery run." The post ended with a hopeful message, "If someone from the marketing space comes across this and sees potential in him, I truly hope this note finds the right eyes."

LinkedIn users responded with praise, admiration, and encouragement for the delivery partner's effort. Aishwarya Bellamkonda wrote, "Indeed. This made me realize that there's no formal way to reach out for new opportunities. If a person wants an internship or a job, they find all the possible ways to get it. Did he get an internship opportunity, though?" Lavisha Nathani said, "Stories like this show how creative hustle makes all the difference — struggles of marketing students!" Piyush Sharma said, "As a college student myself, this really inspired me. It's not easy to put yourself out there like that, especially in such an unconventional way. Respect to the delivery partner for being bold and creative. I hope he will get an internship very soon." Kapil Phulwani noted, "It takes tons of courage to do the 'not so obvious thing' and put yourself in a vulnerable spot (at least in your mind). Hope they found the internship."

Pooja Kushwaha added, "Such a sweet and gutsy move! The way he boldly emphasized 'NOT sales' made me smile. A great reminder — every work pays." Aparna Raj quipped, "This shows how time has changed everything. Inspiring and unique at the same time. Anyways, kudos to Nikhil for such an amazing move." Vishnu Prasad Boorla said, "This is beyond inspiring. Mad respect for the hustle and the mindset — shooting your shot even when the odds aren’t guaranteed. This kind of initiative, grit, and creative outreach says everything about a person's work ethic and drive." Rohan Devadiga penned, "This is such a powerful reminder that courage and creativity go hand in hand. Hats off to the delivery partner for taking that bold step! Wishing him all the success he truly deserves."
