At an office party, the boss gave the employees red envelopes as their Christmas gifts and the employees were elated after seeing what was inside.
Christmas is indeed magical. Apart from the vibrant celebrations and hearty meals, Christmas brings excitement to the world in the form of gifts. The joy of exchanging gifts is unparalleled, especially when someone considers what we want while gifting us. This real-estate company chairman went one step ahead and gave all his employees a whopping holiday bonus, proving that Christmas miracles do come true. On December 7, 2019, Edward St. John, the founder and chairman of St.John Properties, announced the grand surprise at the firm's annual holiday celebration. Little did the employees expect that they would receive a life-altering Christmas gift from their boss.
As one of the leading commercial real estate firms in the Mid-Atlantic, St. John's Properties values its employees and their hard work that helped the company achieve a massive feat. According to their press release, the Maryland-based company had achieved its goal of developing 20 million square feet of office, flex/R&D, retail and warehouse space in eight states by the end of 2019.

Ever since the goal spawned in 2005, the company weathered critical economic conditions, yet 14 years later, it came out with flying colors. To honor the employees who had contributed to this achievement, the chairman publicly announced a $10 million bonus for all his 198 employees during the company's holiday party. The company will pay a bonus to all 198 St. John Properties employees based on years of service, with the average employee receiving $50,000, per the press release.
