Remember the episode from "FRIENDS" where Ross threw a childish tantrum over his boss stealing his sandwich in his office? It appeared hilariously entertaining but the situation changes when it happens to one in real life. Imagine a scenario where one has to work hard the whole day and the one thing they have to look forward to is the food they have meticulously prepared for their lunch. Obviously, they'll feel sad, heartbroken, and irritated if someone steals their lunch. u/-Sathona shared on Reddit how she went through the same situation in her office, where a 'food thief' took other people's lunches without a care in the world.

While her fellow employees wanted to let it go, she didn't. She took it upon herself to teach the 'food thief' a lesson. u/-Sathona states in the post how her workplace has a woman they all have nicknamed "The Food Goblin." The reason she has garnered this nickname is because she steals her co-workers' food every day. She even throws the lunch boxes away in the trash. The woman shows no concern about her fellow worker's needs and has followed this regimen for a long time. The employees approach this with the mindset, "It is what it is, we can't do anything about it. She only takes 1 person's food a day."

As the Reddit user spent time in the office, she found out why the woman was allowed to be insufferable. It is because she is a favorite of people in the C-suite, the CEO and CFO. She has garnered this favor by hosting delicious dinners at her home. u/-Sathona, like all the other employees, witnessed that fateful day when it was her food that was the sacrifice. The woman took her carefully prepared lunch from the refrigerator. That day, she worked through an empty stomach, till 9 pm. Thereafter, she began eating food that did not require refrigerating, and one she could keep at her desk. But, she came to a realization: why should she jump through hoops for an inconsiderate woman? This inspired her to hatch a plan.

The next lunch she brought was her homemade chili with chicken and beef. She had garnered a lot of compliments for the recipe. But, this time she half-cooked the preparation. She stuck a note on her Tupperware that the food was not fully cooked, though did not put her name. Lo and behold, the woman ate her lunch and had the stomach ache of her life. She had to be hospitalized for 8 days. After recovering she shared with the company how she was "afraid to come to work, and thinks somebody wants to end her".

Now, after resuming the office, she has brought her mini-fridge where she keeps her lunch. Although the outcome got a bit out of hand, it seems like the woman got her lesson. People loved the whole plan. u/P1Allstar suggested a further course of action, "Someone should take the food out of her mini fridge and eat it." u/Mirianda666 believes this lesson was important, "Sounds like she lost her appetite for stolen goodies! People who steal other people's food deserve what they get."
