The discussion about employees dealing with horrible bosses at work is never-ending. As long as people don't understand the true meaning of being a leader, there will never be an end to work woes. Recently, one fitness coach, Allie (@asay629), shared on TikTok the inconsiderate response she got from her boss and many found her situation too relatable. All she did was call in sick and her boss decided to fire her instantly without being sensitive about her inability to show up at work.

In the video, Allie shared that she had to take a day off from her job as a fitness coach. She had to bail out of the day's classes because she had a high fever that rose up to 103 Fahrenheit. "My boyfriend had to leave work and take me to urgent care," she said and added that her fever was so bad that she couldn't even move. So, she decided to notify her employer about her illness. "I sent a picture of the thermometer reading 101 and asked if anybody could cover," said Allie. Despite the employee showing proof of her sickness, the employer decided to fire her for taking the day off. It wasn't the fact that she was fired that bothered Allie, it was about how her owner did it.

When she texted on GroupMe chat, saying, "I currently have a fever and an ear infection. Can someone please cover my class tonight?" her owner replied, "I have a headache, sorry, can't do it." On top of that, they simply bid goodbye to Allie on GroupMe and fired her. Addressing the fitness center she was working for, Allie said in a sarcastic tone, "So, yeah. Shred415 Alpharetta, you’re awesome." In the captions, the fitness coach mentioned that during her entire tenure in that job, she had called in sick only twice. "Anyways, have the day you deserve, Scott!" she added.

The video garnered over 1.8 million views and thousands of thoughtful comments poured in. Many were shocked by how the boss' inconsiderate nature. Allie mentioned the severity of her illness in one of the comments, "Part of my eardrum ruptured when I was a child so mine are so painful. Couldn’t hear out of my right ear for days after this." Also, when Allie noticed that many suggested that she could sue the employer for wrongful dismissal, she responded, "I’m not trying to sue, GA has at-will termination. Just simply saying what happened."

Like Allie, several other employees suffered such insensitive treatment at work which they shared in the comments. "I took one sick day in two years at my job and the owner threatened to fire me. I had run a half marathon the day before and got a little sick from it. She accused me of partying all night instead," commented @userlz5qhzldws. "Girl, my job found no reason for me to stay after I got an injury while working (cut my hand badly) and fired me. I get it so much," wrote @plaindepressed. "When they need you they'll constantly threaten to fire you, when they don't they'll just fire you without warning or reason," commented @notafurry123.
