Mothers undoubtedly hold a special place in their children’s hearts. The sacrifices, love and nurturing they provide are truly a glimpse of heaven for children. Mothers stand as knowledge-givers and rock-solid supporters throughout their kids’ lives. For Emma Stone, the person behind her success and career is her beloved mother, Krista Stone. BAFTA shared the actress’ tear-jerking speech after winning the BAFTA award for “Poor Things,” thanking her mother for her overwhelming love and encouragement throughout her life.

Stone began by expressing thanks for the honor of the award. She proceeded to thank her dialect coach, joking about the trials and hardships of having to play and ace the character of Bella Baxter in “Poor Things.” She further thanked her team and the cast and crew. “I would not have imagined this film any other way, with anyone else. What you did blows my mind every single day,” the actor said. She then went on to share heartfelt gratitude towards her mother and let the world know that it was her mum who made her believe that she could achieve and do more than she thought.

“I just want to say this, in case I don’t ever get a chance to again. I want to thank my mom because she’s the best person I know in the world. She inspires me every single day she’s always made me believe this kind of crazy idea that I could do something like this and I’m beyond grateful,” Stone remarked. “Without her, none of this exists, including my life, so thanks for that too, Mom. Thank you so much." BAFTA Awards shared the speech on Instagram and people were mesmerized by the actor’s achievement. Many people commented that Stone rightly deserved her second BAFTA award after winning her first back in 2017 for the iconic film, “La La Land.”
