Elderly man stuns people with piano performance in public place, has everyone grooving to his tune

This man performing Jerry Lee Lewis's "Great Balls of Fire" is sure to give you goosebumps. In a video uploaded on Reddit, an elderly man can be seen playing the song on a public piano. Many were stunned by his fingers moving so fast on the instrument. However, they enjoyed every bit of his performance while singing along with him. He is a true performer as he keeps looking at his audience for a response. The video ends with him playing the notes of the song perfectly on the piano. 

Many on the internet called him "Goose" from the movie, "Top Gun." A user wrote, "He later jumped into the cockpit of an F18." Another wrote, "Goose lives in Top Gun 3." Another user wrote, "Goose, you're alive??!!!"

Others could not stop appreciating his talent. A user wrote, "The color of his hair might have faded through the years, but his talent never did." Another user said, "I knew this was the song he was playing even before I unmuted my phone. He rocks!" Another wrote, "Old boy can rock and roll with the best of them! Such talent."

In another story, a 95-year-old woman was nominated at the Latin Grammys. She was 14 years old when she mastered the piano and guitar but her father stopped her from becoming a singer and she obeyed. In 1959, because of the Cuban crisis, she asked her children to leave for America. She left a few months later but was only able to see her children two years later as she had no job or financial means. She got a job cleaning a bank in Pueblo and met her kids. In 1966, her husband also made it to the US, they made Baton Rouge their home. Unfortunately, her husband and daughter died due to lung cancer.

According to her, it was music that helped her to go through difficult times. She apparently wrote 50 songs during her life. “Music is the language of the soul,” Alvarez said. But only her family and friends listened to her music.

And 8 years ago, thanks to her grandson Carlos Jose Alvarez, things changed. He bought her a microphone and asked her to go through her tunes. He said, “I didn’t realize that these songs were like a diary of her life. It all made sense." “You can hear the life she has lived in her singing.”

In 2016, he brought her to LA and helped her to create a 15-track album. Then he thought that was not enough, so he reached out to Andy Garcia and he agreed to produce and narrate his grandmother's documentary. Moreover, she performed at her first concert on her 91st birthday and the audience loved it. In 2022, Garcia asked her to try out for the character of Tia Pili in the remake of "Father of the Bride" and she was cast.

However, her biggest achievement is being nominated for Best New Artist at the Latin Grammys in September. This is what she has learned from her experience: “never say, ‘I can’t do it.’ You can do it. Always try.”
