“This is unreal!” This was Katy Napier (@happyyellowco)’s first reaction when she saw a giant truck approaching her house. The truck featured a billboard with the poster of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (@therock)’s character Maui from Disney’s "Moana." On one side of the character was the name of his skincare brand, “Papatui,” and on the other side a message: “Hey Katy, don't give up on your dreams.” The truck was sent to Napier’s house in response to a hilarious June 3 video she shared on her Instagram while standing in a Papatui store. The video posted on June 10, 2026, by Johnson has received 9.3 million views and over 520,000 likes so far.

A shopping trip gone viral

It started with the video Napier posted from the local Papatui store. In the video, she showed herself standing across a shelf of skincare products with a poster of a cheering “The Rock” in the background. "Don't give up on your dreams," she told the viewers, adding, "The Rock is selling shampoo and conditioner, and he's bald." “Dream big,” she wrote in the caption of the video, “Go for it.” The video garnered more than five million views, but little did she imagine that the greatest surprise would come from The Rock himself.

Being 'The Rock'

In the June 10 #stitch video, the 54-year-old superstar appeared in the long-haired character of Maui and told Napier that her video made him “belly laugh” so hard. “But when that trickster & demigod Maui himself saw Katy’s video, he decided to surprise Katy and her family with a Maui-sized gift,” The Rock wrote. Napier received a truckload of gifts, the first one being a truck full of Papatui’s products like shampoos, more than enough for her family’s year’s worth of skincare supply.

Not just that, he offered Napier and her family to fly to Los Angeles to attend the massive premiere of the Oscar-nominated, iconic "Moana," which is slated for release on July 10. In another video, Napier, visibly emotional, thanked her for the gesture, saying, "It is unreal how far this has gone. I am speechless. I couldn't be more excited! Thank you so so much, The Rock."

This shows The Rock isn’t just rich but also intensely generous. A 2023 report by Towns & Country magazine said that he donated a 7-figure amount to SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Emergency Financial Assistance and Disaster Relief Fund. The contribution was described by the foundation as the largest single donation ever received from an individual since its founding in 1985. Additionally, in 2024, the People's Fund of Maui, which he co-founded, reported that more than 8,100 wildfire survivors received monthly payments of $1,200, with nearly $60 million distributed directly to affected residents.

In comments to his video, fans praised his generous gesture, all the while lauding him for his clever marketing strategy. @jonthecobracrosbyofficial said, “The rock is the best, hands down.” @ravennavera said, “Now this is how you do marketing and also human connection!”
