We all go through tough times in life where all we need is a little push from the right person. The same goes with animals too. Recently, a video of a dog Bo forgetting that he could move because of a long period of paralysis has been making the rounds online. Bo's parent Christiana Lovelace, a financial adviser by profession, shared this wholesome video on TikTok and it touched thousands of hearts. Bo may be a sad puppy at times but his story is something to draw inspiration from.

At the beginning of the 13-second video, Lovelace can be seen listening to Bo's whining sound in the background with a faint smile. The pet parent knew that it was not a serious call for help but the result of Bo's forgetfulness. "My dog was paralyzed for so long that he still forgets he can walk. He'll lay there and whine until I remind him he can walk," Lovelace mentioned in the text overlay. She then walked up to the dog lying on the carpet whimpering and said, "Bo, get up. Come on. Get up." That's when Bo realized that he could indeed get up on his four legs and even walk. With a few words of encouragement from the dog-mom, Bo stood up and took a few unsteady steps coming to terms with the fact that he was no longer paralyzed.

"Bo is walking again. He looks like a drunk toddler but he's walking," the pet parent quipped in the captions. With over 770K views, this video has been melting hearts online. "Mama, he misses the extra attention he got when he couldn't walk, drama king for sure but not wrong," said @tragicallytwistedd. "Oh! He's stuck in the trauma of it. Get super excited like it's a miracle he can walk, every time he forgets. It will 'balance' out the bad and encourage more walking," suggested @inadvertantlytriggering. "I am so happy and grateful you guys believed in your fur baby. So many aren't able to do surgery or don't believe it'll work. Warms my heart to see him doing well," added @astrayer89.

Earlier this year, Lovelace shared a touching video of Bo recovering gradually after his Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) surgery. "He ruptured a disc in his lower back in fall 2022. Then another one in his neck the day of that surgery, then another one in his neck sometime during his recovery," the pet parent told Newsweek. The 9-year-old Labrador, Bo was left completely paralyzed and the family tried every possible treatment to get the dog back in his form.

Eventually, a steroid treatment worked well for Bo and he began gaining his ability to move a couple of months ago. Speaking about how Bo often forgets that he's not paralyzed anymore, Lovelace told the media channel, "He genuinely just forgets. It's like waking up in a different bed on vacation. He doesn't remember that before he laid down he was walking. This especially happens after a nap or if he lays down for a minute after playing." In the video of Bo's recovery journey, Lovelace mentioned that at one point, the pet parents thought that they might lose Bo forever. But the resilient boy powered through physical therapies and treatments and to his parents' surprise, he made it so far.

@christiana.lovelace I can't believe we've finally made it this far... after 3 ruptured disc's, 2 surgeries (4&3 if you count mine) and I honestly thought we nightfall said goodbye to him by now- but he's still trucking! We've also ruined our furniture and at least 3 rugs. #dog #dogsoftiktok #dog #pets #petsoftiktok #petstory #ivdd #ivddrecovery ♬ Eye of the Tiger - Survivor
