Dog obeying Kendrick Lamar's order to 'sit down' is leaving everyone in stitches

Dogs are known to be one of the most loyal and obedient pets one can have. They can be trained to obey commands and learn to live with humans comfortably. The furry little creatures are also intelligent and usually only listen to their parents. However, one sweet mixed breed went out of its way and listened to Kendrick Lamar’s orders to “sit down." A TikTok video shared by @sisterx3apparel shows her pet dog roaming around the living room, unbothered and doing its thing. In the background was the pop artist’s “Humble” playing on the speaker. 

Sharing a background in the caption, the woman explained, “My husband was checking on our oldest daughter and this song was playing on the speakers in the background.” In a matter of seconds, Lamar’s voice echoed through the room, singing the lyrics, “Be humble, sit down, sit down.” As soon as the dog heard the lyrics, without a second thought, it sat down and looked around the room, astounded by the command. The entire chorus of the song, which consists of the words “Sit down,” repeatedly in every second line, motioned the dog to obey and sit in disbelief. The dog glanced around the room to figure out who was rendering the command, but the poor thing could not find a human.

Despite not knowing where or who the command was coming from, the dog obediently listened and sat. What a good little paw pal! “When Kendrick Lamar tells you to sit down, you sit down,” the caption hilariously read. The video went viral for the dog’s spectacular listening and his boggled reaction that followed. With over 17 million views and 3.4 million likes, people couldn’t get enough of what they’d just witnessed. @omairlevis4 wrote, “Kendrick Lamar needs to apologize to this humble dog.” @cynnthor exclaimed, “This is such a good dog. Give him his treats, please!”

Several people shared the amusing sight they experienced after playing the song for their dog to experiment. @vaelrysdiary said, “I played this song a little too long and my dog got off my bed to sit on the floor.” @itsbrizeida added, “I remember my Doberman would always sit down when I used to work out to this song.” Kendrick Lamar has surely got his grasp on these furry guys and it’s too wholesome to ignore. Other people shared the thrilling joy of having their dogs react to songs. @prof.pizzaroll exclaimed, “My aunt had a dog named Jagger and ‘Moves like Jagger’ was his song. Every time it played, he would turn his head to the side.”

Dogs are undoubtedly one of the best creations in the world. Even Ricky Gervais, actor and comedian, agrees to the same. @ProtectWildlife shared a post of Gervaid, who shared how having the entertaining and heartwarming creatures improved his life. “It’s the greatest thing on earth, a dog. They’re magical, they’re amazing. It’s the closest I get to spirituality, watching a dog,” Gervais exclaimed. He added that there was nothing better he’d choose to invent. The actor explained how he interacts with dogs now and then and that they’re a part of his everyday life. “It’s like land or air. They’re not yours, they’re everyone’s,” he exclaimed.
