Mom shared her son's school pictures and the kid's expressions have people on the floor laughing.
Most parents love capturing their kid's first day of school with bright smiles and carefully chosen outfits. But for one mom—who goes by @luckylibra999 on X—her son's first school photos took a much funnier turn. Instead of cheerful poses, her little one gave a series of hilariously grumpy looks, and the internet can't get enough of his clear displeasure at being asked to pose.
The photos are captioned, "You all my son took his first school pictures." The boy in the first picture is seen wearing a black hoodie, covering his head and shooting an angry look at the camera. In the next photograph, he is holding a "Spiderman" toy and again staring angrily. In the last two pictures, he looks equally upset and in deep thought. The mother shared in an update that the child was wearing a hoodie because he recently got his first haircut and went from having a full head of hair to none. "So, I can understand why he didn't want to take it off! He has been tripping ever since, lmao," she revealed. She also shared two pictures featuring the before-and-after of the little one's haircut. One shows the boy with long curly hair and in the next one, he has short hair.

The mom also clarified that this was not the outfit she sent her son in for the picture day. "His class's picture day was the day before and he had on a nice outfit! They didn’t tell me he pulled this same s**t on that day, so I didn't know he was going to retake this day," she shared. She also posted a picture of her son taken right before school, in which he is seen calmly sitting in his car seat and enjoying his drink. The post garnered over 17 million views on the platform and people couldn't stop laughing about it.

@Rebekahwriter commented, "Those are magnificent! You gotta show those at his graduations, his wedding, and when he wins an Oscar..." @RanadheeraGowda wrote, "Little boy across the street asked when he can retire from school. It was his first day." @usebigears expressed, "This may not be the pictures you were expecting, but for me, they are everything I could have hoped for today." @snorkie15 expressed, "I'd blow it up, frame it. That is one of the best school photos I've ever seen." @iamlanaea said, "What a handsome little guy!!! He definitely did not want to take this picture at all."

In another story, a father shared the perfect way to make his son smile for pictures. In a tweet posted on X, Adam Perry captioned two pictures of his son, "My son when I tell him to smile vs when I yell out 'poop.'" He said that his son is shy but also sweet and silly with a fun sense of humor. He also shared that the pictures were taken on the first day of school. "We always take pictures on the first day [of school] and we were in a bit of a hurry and having a hard time getting good pictures," he explained.
"My son always has the funniest smile when he's trying too hard. I learned at some point that if I just yelled out 'POOP' and snapped the picture quickly, it always worked out way better. In this case, it was a pretty dramatic comparison, so I thought I'd share it," the father added. The dad wasn't expecting the picture to go viral. He said, "This post must have really resonated with people, and I've gotten tons of messages from people that are using this trick and getting great pictures of their kids, which to me, is the best part of all this."
