'Please don’t be scared of me. I act like a child when I am happy.'
When Romanian YouTuber Andy Popescu received a message on Instagram from a disabled man called "The Little Giant," he didn’t expect it would turn into one of the most personal and emotional videos on his channel. The man had a simple request: to ride in a Lamborghini and film a vlog together. The video was shared on Popescu's channel, and as he wrote in the caption, it became "a better reminder to be empathetic, to put yourself in the other guy’s shoes."

Beginning the video, The Little Giant, whose real name is Micul Gigant, thanked Popescu for filming a vlog with him. Then, as the Lamborghini roared to life, his excitement took over. He laughed and cheered, saying "I can't believe it" again and again. "When I do this, I am not crazy or anything. I can't help it. That's my happiness — cars. I don't know, I love cars," he said. Gigant even appealed to Popescu, "Please don't laugh at me, but I feel like kissing the Lamborghini here." He explained how his love of cars began in childhood, when he would watch his father work on an old Romanian car. That connection stayed with him, but growing up with a locomotor disability also meant facing daily rejection.

"Normal people, they avoid me. They just don’t want to spend time with me." He even apologized for being excited, saying, "Please don’t be scared of me. I act like a child when I am happy. This is how I act. I yell, and I laugh a lot. Because I am happy. This is who I am." Those words left Popescu in tears, which he was trying to hide from Gigant. Throughout the drive, Gigant opened up about his life. He spoke about being bullied as a child, how kids at school would spit on him and mock him because of his disability. He shared memories of a childhood filled with abuse at school, including a teacher who hit him repeatedly.

"She had a ring on her finger and would hit us with it. I had bumps on my head. My mom went to the school, and the principal said, ‘Maybe your son did something wrong.'" Gigant explained that he receives $190 a month in disability benefits, of which $85 goes to physiotherapy and around $60 to medication. "What can I do with $40 left? You don’t live on $40. You survive," he said. YouTube, he shared, gave him an outlet. "I started vlogging because I wanted some virtual friends, if I can’t have any in real life," he said. When asked about his own dreams, he said, "My biggest dream used to be buying this Lamborghini. Now, my dream is to help people. To inspire them. That’s what gives me satisfaction." The video drew thousands of emotional reactions, many of them commented on the man’s honesty, his suffering, and the joy he found in being heard.

I can't imagine what this boy has suffered to say those words." @theancientsen commented, "He apologized for being happy, no one should ever apologize for that and it honestly made me tear up, bless this man." @ebitlagger884 said, "You know men are holding their tears back real hard when they stay real silent in conversation and avoid eye contact. Just like that." @wiktorkijowski4037 noted, "The way people run away from him because he is disabled hurts me. He sounds like the nicest person to be around."
