The popstar's fans unearthed a tweet from a decade ago showing Demi how far she had come since her early days in the industry.
Pop icon Demi Lovato sang the national anthem at the 2020 Super Bowl, setting the stage for J-Lo and Shakira's Halftime Show performance. Needless to say, she was absolutely killer. The woman's got a set of pipes that could put an orchestra to shame. While the high praise for her version of The Star-Spangled Banner swept in, hardcore Demi fans uncovered one of the singer's tweets from a decade ago. Don't worry - your fave isn't problematic. The tweet was simply a good reminder of where she started and her tumultuous climb to fame. Posted on February 3 in 2010, Demi shared her hopes of singing at a Super Bowl "one day."
The tweet reads, "One day, I'm gonna sing the national anthem at a Super Bowl. Onnnee dayyy..." In a few days from now, the tweet would have officially been posted ten years ago, when Demi was still a teen. At only 17 years old, she already had a clear vision of where she wanted to be and all the things she wanted to accomplish in life. We may not all have had as much direction as teenagers, but we've all tried to visualize our goals and manifest them into existence. Sometimes, luck is on our side and things magically work out. However, other times, our goals need a little - or a lot of - hard work. It takes dedication, routine, and just a lot of sweat. However, those difficult achievements definitely taste so much sweeter.

This was probably what it was like to be the Demi Lovato. Fans of the pop singer will know her journey was not easy. Not only did she grow up as a child star, but she was also one of the infamous Disney kids. And with fame, comes a whole horde of other problems, especially when you experience all that glitz and glamor at such a young age. Thankfully, she made it out the tunnel and through to the light, where she's finally able to realize all the goals she once laid out for herself. As news of her tweet went viral, Demi caught on and humorously posted, "One day, I’m gonna perform the Halftime Show at the Super Bowl. Onnnee dayyy..."
Obviously, there's no dream too far off for the young star. While she works her butt off to get there, all her fans sent her well wishes. School District Superintendent Joel M Petlin stated, "A dream come true. It's nice to see an aspirational ten-year-old tweet from Demi Lovato instead of the usual old tweets that are recycled in order to cancel someone. Good luck tonight at the Super Bowl." Others chimed in to let her know they were proud of her and would always support her. Aw!
