Delivery driver pretends to be a preacher after noticing woman's 'hide packages from husband' doormat

As online shopping continues to flourish worldwide, many find themselves indulging in shopping sprees like never before. For some, however, this comes with budget-conscious spouses keeping a watchful eye. Content creator Stephanie—known as @stephanielerin on TikTok—found a cheeky solution to this: a doormat that reads, "Hide packages from husband." The clever mat worked wonders, prompting an Amazon delivery driver to humorously comply by hiding a parcel from her husband. Stephanie captured the hilarious moment on TikTok, where the video quickly went viral, amassing over 35 million views.

The video captured the moment the delivery driver arrived at Stephanie’s door and rang the bell. As he glanced at his phone, his eyes landed on the doormat’s message. Without hesitation, he decided to follow its instructions, skillfully tucking the package out of sight by the side of the door. Before leaving, he even snapped a photo of the doormat. Just as he was about to walk away, Stephanie’s husband opened the door and asked if there were any packages. Thinking quickly, the driver replied, "No! I don't. I'm just here to tell you about Jesus Christ," the guy quickly responded, pretending to be a preacher.

The TikTok video sparked an outpouring of laughter from viewers, who flooded the comments with humorous takes on the incident. For instance, @krishud48 commented, "Man could have said he realized he at the wrong house but instead preached the gospel in an Amazon uniform." Similarly, @ken_san07 wrote, "Man was fighting for his life trying to find a good excuse. He coulda just said the wrong house." Meanwhile, @chefp1p1 left a sarcastic comment and wrote, "Amazon workers out there telling people about our lord and savior Jesus Christ." 

On the other hand, @tamaravanderent made a wild guess about why the delivery guy was so supportive and wrote, "Omg! He probably thought it was a Christmas gift for the husband and didn’t want him to see it and open it." @claudbanz commented, "THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING I WATCHED ON TIKTOK. Listening to the growing buzz, she later shared a second video, which took the story to a whole new level. In the follow-up video, Stephanielerin revealed how the delivery guy cleverly dodged her husband by pretending to be a preacher.

When her husband told the delivery man they were busy having dinner, the driver, seemingly caught off guard, apologized for "bothering" them and left without mentioning the mysterious parcel. Despite the tense situation, the delivery man remained composed and successfully kept the secret.
