Couples often have different answers when asked what leads to a happy marriage, but they all have one thing in common: love for their partner, which is evident in the way they talk about each other. In a video posted by Christopher Ward—who goes by @modelstrangers on Instagram—a husband and a wife share how they met and the secret to their 16 years of marriage. In the video, Ward can be seen asking walking up to the husband, Jean Paul, and saying, "Excuse me, sorry to bother you. I think you both look like a really nice couple." Paul immediately jokes, "No, we're not. We're nasty buggers!"

Ward then asks Paul's wife, Elizabeth, "Where are you from?" "Western Canada. North of Vancouver," she responds. She then tells the photographer that she and her husband have been married for sixteen years. When asked how they met, Paul says, "She was my probation officer." Elizabeth interrupts and says, "I was a probation officer. I wasn't his." To this, Paul responds, "You wreck all the stories." Then, she narrates the story of how they actually met. "He was driving Catholic youth to Vancouver... my son got in his truck," explains Elizabeth. She goes on to say, "It took a long time for me to believe that I should marry him. He was such a... scoundrel!"

Then Ward asks Paul to kiss Elizabeth. "Would that be okay? On the cheek, or wherever!" he adds. Paul jokingly tries to unbutton his wife's sweater and she stops him. After that, they pose for a picture and then Paul asks the photographer, "Have you ever read Don Quixote? Some people say he's the first existentialist writer there ever was. He was already talking to us. Way back then." Towards the end of the video, Elizabeth tells the photographer, "You've been a delightful person to meet! Just a bright light coming around the corner."

Before bidding adieu to the pair, Ward asks, "Just a last question before you go. What makes for a happy marriage?" Ever the jokester, Paul replies: "Chocolate and regular sex." Elizabeth adds, pointing up, "To have it not just a marriage between us... but between three people." The video is captioned, "Street portraits" and has over 3 million views. It was shot in Portstewart, North Ireland.

People on social media enjoyed the conversation with the couple. @jlenoir30 commented, "That guy is the MAN! His sense of humor is still sharp at his age!" @iamleoelaine wrote, "I love how naughty he is and how he brings her out of her shell and makes her laugh." @coffee_and_mascara expressed, "On the verge of extinction, ethereal Love Stories like these! Thank you, for bringing this one to us!" @sheenshanshankredemption pointed out, "They both are such a perfect couple, a kind lady with the sweetest of heart and a sarcastic guy with a great sense of humor being head over heels for her." @c.knittyfingers said, "They're a treasure and he continues being a scoundrel/rascal in the best of ways." @jawdy_s shared, "That's my friend's mom!! They are such lovely people!! So happy you ran into them!!"

Paul and Elizabeth are a perfect example of what a healthy, happy marriage should look like and people on social media can't seem to get enough of them.
