Compassion and kindness are extremely important values to exhibit. A little love can make somebody's day and allow them to believe in the good in the world. A senior citizen is being treated with such kindness that it has moved everyone to tears. In a Reddit video posted by u/Haunter369, they explain that every day Gene McGehee comes out of his house to sit in the front yard at a particular time. As he has Alzheimer's, he doesn't even remember why he does it but the reason is heartwarming.

The text inlay reveals that his memory resets every 15 minutes but "everyday something tells him to go outside and wait." The video shows a bus stopping by his house and a group of young children from daycare running toward him. These "biggest fans" greet him every day and put a big smile on his face. Moreover, due to his illness, he thinks that he is meeting these children for the first time every single day making the experience even more special. The children have been coming to him for three years to make conversations with him with compassion and love.

McGehee also gets to meet the daycare teacher, Megan Nunez, with the children. She told CBS News, "Every day I cross the street and we meet again." His daughter Cathy said he was lonely before the daycare kids started to greet him every day. She said, "Oh my goodness, they have been such a blessing to Daddy. And he lights up." Even though he forgets about these kids every day, the acceptance and love they give him in unstrained.

"He just goes right to the front yard," he added. "Because it's love. And, you know, everybody responds to love." Meghan explains that it is just McGhee's instinct that drives him to the yard. She said, "We always tell the kids that his brain is kind of sick, but his heart remembers us."

This beautiful video has triggered several reactions from Reddit users with one person commenting, "Old people and kids never fail to make me cry. Too good." Another said, "I love this. He has a disease but there are lucid moments. Moments where he can remember his life. He can enrich these children's lives in so many ways."

"The most wonderful video I’ve seen in forever!! Everyone deserves this kind of love and attention and that goes for both sides!!!" said another Reddit user.

In a similar heartwarming instance, a daughter tries to tell her father that she loves her even when he doesn't remember who she is. Bailey shared a TikTok video of a painful conversation she had with her father who has dementia. Scott, the father, does not believe he is her father and resists when she refers to him as such. He can still see that she means something special to him, and it's wonderful to watch him express that.

She says in the video, "In my mind and in my heart, you're my dad, and you will always be my dad." It bothers him that she calls him dad, but he accepts her offer to refer to him as Scott rather than Dad to make him feel more at ease. He replies, "I love you too. We're family."
