David and Victoria Beckham might have been together for more than 20 years but the former footballer is still a master at keeping her on her toes.
David Beckham has been one of the most celebrated soccer stars to ever live and his wife, Victoria Beckham is no less popular than him. Victoria, who is also known as Posh Spice, made her brief but successful music career debut with the girl group, Spice Girls. Now that Beckham fans are getting an entire Netflix docuseries on the life of their beloved midfielder, the couple’s marital dynamics have captured viewers' attention.
Beckham's life and career have been unfolding in front of public eyes for decades but it seems that his fans weren't aware of his "investigative journalism" skills until a clip from the documentary went viral on Twitter with over 40 million views. The clip shared by @ChrisJBakke on the platform shows Victoria in the middle of an interview session for the documentary. "We are very working, working class," Victoria says while describing her upbringing. But surprisingly, David's voice can be heard off-camera and he says, "Be honest."

The camera then pans toward the retired soccer star, who is seen peering through the open door of the room to fact-check his wife's answers. Victoria seems to dodge the question and move on but to the delight of the audience, she fails. David doesn't seem to let go without making his wife confess about her actual upbringing. “What car did your dad drive you to school in?” he asks. When she doesn't answer, David asks once again, “What car was it?”
Victoria tried her best to not answer it. "It depends," she said. But David followed up, demanding she admit the truth. "Okay. In the 80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce," Victoria finally spills the beans. David drops a "thank you" and swiftly exits the room, letting Victoria sit in a brief moment of silence while she seemingly tries to compose herself after what happened. Thousands of comments poured in to praise David for extracting the truth from his wife and how he made sure to keep his wife honest through that portion of the interview.
David Beckham really said: "You'll never live like common people. You'll never do whatever common people do."

@TheFist89369846 remarked: "From behind a mostly closed door just poking his head round as and when needed." @DavidMakesApps joked: "Only Beckham can moderate the 2024 presidential debates."
According to Screen Rant, the documentary titled "Beckham" also brings to light previously unknown facts about David and Victoria Beckham's lives, careers and relationships. The docuseries sheds light on the difficult times in their marriage, Beckham's alleged infidelity scandal and how the couple overcame those challenges to keep their marital bond strong. The docuseries also features details about David's lesser-known hobbies such as beekeeping. The Netflix series also goes back in time to look at David's rise to fame in Manchester United and dating his wife in 1997.
David predicted his marriage with Victoria while joking with former teammate Gary Neville and stating that he would marry "the posh one" from the Spice Girls in the future. David's former coach Sir Alex Ferguson was not okay with David dating Victoria when he was still just a young player in the club. Ferguson believed that dating a celebrity might steer David off the right path of becoming the world-class soccer player he could be. The tell-all docuseries was released on October 4, 2023, and can be streamed on Netflix.
