Daughter surprises mom battling stage 4 cancer by shaving her head in solidarity

Solidarity and togetherness are required mostly when a person is going through a hard time. It was pretty evident in a video uploaded by a salon (@bambiblonde__) on Instagram. It featured two of her clients, a mother-daughter duo, going through a tough moment, but their solidarity towards each other makes it all a tad bit easier. Tracy, the mother, came to the salon to get her hair cut after a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis and her daughter Sophie chose to not only come along but also follow suit. The moment was so emotional that it left all other people in the salon in tears.

The hairdresser gave context about her relationship with the duo in her caption, "Tracy and Sophie have been long-time clients of ours for the whole seven years I have had the salon. Tracy and Sophie aren't just clients, we have created such a bond that these beautiful girls feel like family." She had nothing but good things to say about this duo. Therefore, her heart was broken into pieces when she received a call from Tracy about the latter's diagnosis. "Receiving the call from Tracy that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 high-grade ovarian cancer was absolutely gut-wrenching," she added.

The hairdresser couldn't believe that something so horrible could strike an individual so genuine and kind as Tracy. The only thoughts in her head were, "How can this be true? How can someone so beautiful, so loving and so bloody wonderful be diagnosed with something so so so shit!?" Knowing that the treatment would have a devastating impact on her hair, Tracy decided to get it all chopped off. She came to the salon with her daughter Sophie, and the exhaustion this ordeal had caused them was evident on their faces. Tracy was putting on a brave front while Sophie held her hand. The daughter then suddenly went back and took the razor. Tracy, at first, thought it was because Sophie wanted to take matters into her own hands and cut a lock of hair. But no, the truth was something else.

Sophie went back and shaved her head in a show of solidarity. Tracy could not believe her eyes. Her instant reaction was to stop Sophie from doing it. But the daughter continued amidst tears. The duo hugged each other and sobbed their hearts out. After a while, the hairdresser joined in the embrace. She gave a sweet message in her caption, "Tracy - you are a warrior, you are so so strong and such an amazing person, your determination is incredibly inspiring and I hope to god for some sort of miracle."
