There are times when elderly folks, living alone and far from their kids, figure out innovative ways to do their daily chores requiring less effort. Similarly, one Aussie man who stays about 4 hours away from his children's home had to brainstorm a solution to trimming the hedges on his lush green property. His daughter Jadyth—who goes by @doacarj on TikTok—filmed him working smarter rather than harder with the help of his trusted truck and a small crane attached to it.

"I'm visiting my parents and my dad wanted me to check out how he trims his hedge," she says at the beginning of the video. "It involves his truck and his crane." In the video, Jadyth's dad secured a lawnmower with the crane on his truck and leveled it up to properly trim the hedges' top. The rest of the job progresses smoothly as her dad drives the truck alongside the hedges and the lawnmower continues to flatten out the hedges from the top.

Jadyth can be heard laughing in the background as she continues to film her dad with his latest invention, which is actually doing its job effectively. "You're probably as curious as I am about how he's gonna get back around," she continues speaking in the video. Her dad continues to drive around in circles around a small pathway and he doesn't need to reverse the truck either. "He's just driving away, so I guess he's happy enough with his little hedge," she comments in the end as her dad finally moves away from the hedges with his truck. But Jadyth was wrong because her dad was not satisfied with the trim at all.

He hops back into his truck and tries to trip a single cluster of bushes as Jadyth keeps pointing out that he "missed a spot." The fun video has caught the attention of several media networks and many commentators notified Jadyth about it. @jadezy86 remarked, "That, sir, seems a very hard way of doing it. Creative, yes, but we have battery power trimmers, come on." @zoeythemidwife joked, "I'm not sure if this is crazy or genius or both." Jadyth replied to this and wrote, "I think that's what they're debating on a bunch of radio stations." @kristysteel commented, "Now this is 100% an Aussie who wants to get to beer o'clock fast." @looloo842 added, "I have to send this to my dad. This is so something he would do."

It seems every other dad in the world manages to come up with these brilliant hacks to make their lives easier. In a similar story, a woman named Lauren Cosier—who goes by @laurencosier on TikTok—shared how her dad effortlessly switched his clothes after arriving at the airport in Naples, Italy. In the video posted by Cosier, her dad swiftly converted his long trousers into cargo shorts to stay cool in the hot weather and walked off with his bag. "Dad just stepped off the plane in Italy. His removable trouser bottoms are straight off," she wrote in the video's text overlay. The dad and daughter were flying from the UK to Italy for a holiday, as reported by Newsweek. Fellow travelers were possibly taking notes from Cosier's dad, who knew how to dress for different weathers while traveling.
