'You really raised your baby RIGHT. Good job, Mama.'

Children are known to have no filter about what is on their minds. Sometimes you may not like it, and other times it can be the sweetest thoughts in the world. Faith and lifestyle influencer from Kentucky, Takara Moore (@takara.moore), shared a GRWM video when she was interrupted by her daughter, Lathyn. She captioned the almost 2-minute conversation between herself and her daughter, "A 'server of the Lord' is what I pray she always strives to be." Takara's video, posted on March 12, has reached 14.1 million views, 2.4 million likes, and over 45.1k comments.

In the video, Lathyn walked in while her mother was getting ready and proceeded to say, "I wanna donate my hair." Moore, who was using a fan to dry her face, turned it off so she could pay attention to her daughter. The 8-year-old continued, "Like, not just like a trim, like a lot of it. You take it to the post office, and you give it to a hair program, and they take your hair, and they make it into a wig, and they give it to women who have hair loss cause of cancer." Takara was silently listening and nodding as her daughter was speaking. "I also wanna donate it to little kids too... cause some little kids are bald. Some little kids have cancer, too," she added.

Lathyn said that she got the idea from a video of a girl getting a haircut up to her shoulders. The girl cut it short because she was going to donate it. She asked if she could cut hers to the same length, and although Takara was caught by surprise, she did not say no. Lathyn continued, "I wanna donate it. Not just to be like other people, but now that I know that it's to serve...I feel like that would just be something a server would do. A server for the Lord." "The Lord would love that, wouldn't he?" she asked, and Takara agreed. Lathyn said that she wanted to donate 10 inches of her hair.
In a follow-up video, Takara and Lathyn made the big cut. Before chopping off Lathyn's golden locks, Moore asked her to pray over the hair. With no hesitation, Lathyn began, "Dear Heavenly Father, protect this hair that whoever is going to wear it. Lord, protect them, let them know that they are loved, and that they are seen. Remind them that they are a child of God. Make them happy when they get to wear this." As soon as Takara snipped the first ponytail, Lathyn was giggling with joy while comforting her crying mother.
Wigs can greatly improve a patient's self-image by giving them some "semblance of normalcy." A survey conducted to see the "temporal changes in chemotherapy-induced hair loss in breast cancer patients" shows that "Eighty-four percent of the patients initially used wigs, decreasing to 47% by 1 year after chemotherapy and 15.2% after 2 years. The mean period of wig use was 12.5 months. However, a few patients were still using wigs five years after completing chemotherapy."

Almost everyone was gushing over Lathyn's thoughtfulness and compassion. They were also congratulating Moore on raising a beautiful little girl with strong faith. @jessryn1 wrote, "You really raised your baby RIGHT.
