Being a parent and being a grandparent are two very different relationships. One has the full responsibility for the child and the other can pamper them as much as they want. So it might sometimes seem like grandparents love their grandchildren way more than their kids. But that's not exactly true. When a TikTok user and a mom named Torrie (@finding_torrie) asked her parents if they love their grandkids more than their kids, her father had the most heart-warming response.

In a video that's winning hearts online, Torrie narrated the incident and shared what her father said. “He said, ‘Not more, but different,’” she says in the video. "‘When I look at your daughter, my grandchild, I don't see her the way you see her, I see her as a whole person.'"

Torrie revealed that he said, "I don't see her the way you see her," when asked to elaborate. "And he said, 'I've seen firsthand you go from a baby to a woman, and I've known all of the 'yous' in between,'" she continued. "When he looks at my daughter, he not only sees this beautiful baby, he sees and loves everything she is and ever will be because he's already seen it in me." Torrie became emotional after narrating this part of the conversation. She concluded the video by saying, "Ask your parents questions, their answers might be very healing."

She shows a message that she wrote to her dad, "A looooooot of people telling me how lucky I am to have a dad like you and I wholeheartedly agree." She added, "I really value the closeness and important conversations we have had over the last few years." Her dad responded to her by saying, "Me too. It would be quite an accomplishment NOT to love a daughter like you to the moon and back."

People commented on the video admitting that they wish they also had such a relationship with their dads. @dethness commented, "Welp. Crying in daddy issues again." @colekaleihoku wrote, "Not me crying over the unabashed love your father shows you when mine has always put me last." @trying2findpurpose shared, "I have a lump in my throat dreaming of how amazing it would be to have this relationship with my dad.
