This dad is teaching his son some family values while handing him some money he wants and it's wholesome.
Parents often come with inventive ways to help children earn their pocket money. Commonly, kids are asked to do basic household chores to get money in exchange. However, Caitlin, a mother of 4 kids—who goes by @caitlin.nickle on TikTok—shared an amusing video, showing how they have an interesting strategy to give their kids money.
The video garnered more than 12 million views and counting where Gary, Caitlin's boyfriend and step-father to three daughters. Gary has a unique way of handing money to his stepkids and it also aids them to strengthen their family bonding. When the teenage boy with a smile on his face shows up asking for some cash, Gary proposes a deal.
The teen will get a dollar for every compliment he can give to his family members. "May I have some cash, Father?" he asks politely. "I'll give you a dollar for every compliment you give one of your sisters," Gary answers. The teen starts his compliment spree immediately. “Scarlett is very creative," the boy starts but when he tries to compliment his sister Layla's looks, Gary immediately shuts him down and tells him to come up with compliments which doesn't have anything to do with his sisters' looks.
The teen then calls Layla "imaginative." Then he had a brilliant plan. He asked Gary if he managed to give five compliments in one sentence, would he receive $5. But Gary wasn't having any of it and he mentioned that all the five compliments need to be separate. The teen also compliments Caitlin and credits her for being a "great stepmom." Just when he thought he was done with all the compliments. Gary reminded him that he was "missing one person." "What about Vivian?" Gary asks about the teen's third sister.
“Vivian is...Vivian? Vivian is a good friend," the teen concluded. But the teen was still forgetting to compliment the real person in the scenario and that was his dad. "What about papa?" Gary asks. As the teen starts walking away calling his dad "hilarious" a quick and fun banter ensues between them. By the end of the memorable exchange of words, Gary tells the teen to "call him when he is ready to get picked up" and the video ends.
The comment section was flooded with compliments from strangers who admired the relationship between the father and son and the family values that he has been teaching the youngster. @blankiiss909 joked, "Why did I think it was going to be an older man and when the camera turned my jaw dropped." @boccalife noted, "That voice sounded like Mark Ruffalo and then the face came and I was like, OMG, voice matches the face!!" @seb4st1an.rp mentioned, "For a minute I thought he was gonna say very demure very mindful." @ms.julie83 added, "Okay father is so good-looking and teaching his son to be very mindful."
