One dad has made picking up the kids from school a hilariously fun task. Even though Jevin Smith's kids were a bit mortified at first, they've grown to appreciate the lengths to which he goes to make it fun. He even sings and dances with other students as he waits for his children to come out. Smith posts his entertaining song and dance routines on TikTok as @wealthyjev as well as on Instagram.

In one TikTok video, he was dressed as Andre 3000 from Outkast's "Hey Ya" video during the first pickup of the new school year. He captioned the video, "My children didn't see this #heyya coming" and it racked up over 9.3 million views. In another TikTok compilation, he included his many different dances in the parking lot of his daughter's Los Angeles high school. He sported a curly wig, a sweatband and white knee-high socks while dancing to "I Feel For You" by Chaka Khan. His daughter just shakes her head, as if to say, “Here we go again.”

In another snippet, he dressed up as MC Hammer while dancing to "2 Legit 2 Quit," before his daughter awkwardly walks toward him. He also dressed up as Ice Cube while rapping "It Was a Good Day," grabbing his daughter's backpack from her as she walked out of the school building. He opens the car door for her as she has a giggle over her dad's whacky performances. “In the beginning, when he first started doing it, I was like, this is unbearable. Imagine watching your father get out of the car and start dancing,” Jayna told TODAY. “Now I think it’s hilarious. There’s never a time when I’m upset. He’s like a celebrity at school now. Everyone loves his TikTok.”

The father-of-four who is a DJ is determined to make people smile, especially his family. He's proved that he's a supportive figure even outside of the school parking lot. “He’s the best dad,” Jayna beamed. “He pushes all of us to cultivate our talents. He saw that I took an interest in singing and dancing and said, ‘OK then. We’re gonna sing and act.’ So he pushed me to get involved with theater at school, and it’s my favorite program in the world. He helped me find my talent.”

She was even recently elected student council president. “I made her popular,” Jevin Smith joked to the outlet but Jayna agreed. “It’s true!” the teen added, pointing out that she was voted Spring Fling princess soon after her dad began showing off his dance moves in the school pickup line. While turning in a paper about a person who motivates her to be her best, the senior didn't think twice. “Of course I wrote about my dad,” she said, to which Jevin replied, “I’m gonna cry.” "I just love being a dad," he added.

Speaking to Voyage LA, the content creator admitted that his family makes his work special. "What sets me apart from others is not only am I doing this by myself but my whole family is involved and FYI this is something they enjoy doing. I'm not exactly like Joe Jackson, but my wife and children enjoy acting and being on set. We love to create content together," he explained.
