Parenthood is not easy. One has to find a way to navigate through the problems and learn along the way. It is about finding creative solutions to the challenges your children face. This is what this man did when he came up with a brilliant idea for his child's birthday. @nordacious, a visual artist, shared on X what his brother did to ensure his son had the best birthday cake despite his allergies.

He wrote, "My 4-year-old nephew has a bunch of food allergies. So, my brother made him a birthday cake out of watermelon. 10/10." He shared a picture of the birthday cake and it had a dinosaur made out of watermelon. The dad also made sure to create spikes on top of the animal using yellow watermelon and strawberries, and eyes using grapes. The cake had a candle in the middle with the number "4." The effort that the father put into making the cake shows his love for his son. He ensured that his child got to enjoy the cake on his special day.

People in the comments spoke about how impressed they were with the dad's idea. @jenk2533 commented, "That is magnificent! It turns out that my son is allergic to watermelon I had not known this was even a possibility." @sara_writes1 wrote, "This is art. The effort. The dedication. The patience. The detail! It’s a big fat 10 from me." @skynetwebnett expressed, "That's one sweet idea! Literally! Your brother's creativity is a 10/10 too!" @thseeger12 expressed, "I love this! When I turned 2, I told my parents that I didn’t want a cake — I wanted watermelon. Not cake and watermelon, just watermelon. So, my parents took a big slice of watermelon, stuck two candles in it, and that was my cake. To this day, I try anything watermelon." @Kierstenwarren said, "This is adorable! What a great idea! Our Scarlett has terrible allergies so we always do a stacked caramel apple cake."

In another story, a dad shared an adorable to-do list that his daughter made for him. He wrote, "They erased my actual honey-do list my wife keeps in the kitchen and made their own." He then posted a picture of the list that his daughter wrote. It read, "Daddy's tasks: Be a happy daddy, do daddy things, get cupcakes for no reason, and be very very funny." Talking to Newsweek, Matt Ward gave a background to what happened. "My wife had always made the good ol' "honey do" list on a sticky note or piece of paper hanging on the fridge. You know, the normal 'fix the door on the shed' or 'put up a new shelf in girls' room' type of stuff," Ward said.

His wife eventually replaced the sticky notes with a whiteboard, and their children Katie and Emily, decided to erase what their mom wrote on it and make their own list for their dad. The kids felt that their father was doing enough work around the house so it was time to make a fun list for him. Speaking about his children, he said, "The best part of my day is coming home and getting big hugs from my girls. It's been very cool to see so many people respond positively to it." He added in the end that being a dad to two girls is "the greatest."
