Dad wouldn't stop singing in the car. So, his 7-year-old wrote a 'brutal' review that ended his 'career'

While reading the post, one user joked, 'He was fed up after that car ride and had to let all his grievances be known.'

Kids are not known for holding back their opinions. They will let everyone know exactly what they think, even if it bruises someone's ego a little. It’s part of what makes their honesty hilarious and, at times, shockingly blunt. That kind of moment played out for a mother, u/dandanmichaelis, whose 7-year-old child decided they had had enough after one especially chaotic car ride. The family had just returned home when the child handed over a note addressed to their dad. It read: "Dear Dad, I think that you are the worst singer and like plants so much that it makes you weird."

The "plant comment," as the parent added in the caption, was an extra jab that made the whole thing even funnier. The note resonated with other parents online who knew the sting of a child’s raw honesty all too well. Many shared their own stories in the comments. u/longfurbyinacardigan wrote, "Lmao. Whenever my son has a new friend over and they are going through our house, he says, 'Yeah my mom keeps it like a jungle in here.'" u/MyNameIsNotRyn noted, "My daughter's friend said, 'Ugh! What's with the plants and candles? It's like a spa in here!' [derogatory]" u/kcunning commented, "If you ever feel like maybe you feel too good about yourself, have kids! They'll clear that right up!"

u/3_Plants1404 added, "If I pull into the Home Depot parking lot there’s a chorus of groans and 'moms being weird again,' 'Mommy, I said no more seeds,' 'Ugh, I don’t wanna look at plants.' These kids hold nothing back. Lmao." u/Waste-Personality-15 wrote, "He was fed up after that car ride and had to let all his grievances be known." u/AriaGlow shared, "When I sing, my granddaughter used to say, 'No Nana! Don’t sing! I am singing now.' Now, she just ignores me. Haha." During the hilarious comments, some even pointed out the impressive sentence framing of the letter.

u/reallyjustizzy said, "I’m a first-grade teacher, and I spend my day with 6 to 7-year-olds and your child is an excellent speller. Weird, singer, worst are all words many of my students would spell incorrectly." u/fuzziemuffin added, "9/10 great letter! Point deduction for missed capitalization and unnecessary apostrophe." Turns out this isn’t the only time a parent got a dose of unfiltered truth from their child.

Another mom experienced a similar moment when her 7-year-old handed over a blunt five-word note after she had just started working from home. The message read, "You s**k at your job." The child wasn’t old enough to understand what her mom did, but she still had strong feelings about it. The mom posted the note to Reddit with the caption, "Just started working from home. My 7-year-old is brutal," and users couldn’t get enough of the comedic honesty. Some even accused the mom of faking it because the handwriting was "too neat" for a child. To settle the debate, the mom uploaded a video of her daughter rewriting the same note in real-time, captioning it, "People don't believe how good her handwriting is, so I made this a video."
