Most parents wish to see their kids succeed in life and try to help out in different ways. One dad named Jamal Khadar figured he could help his daughters, Hameedah and Jameelah Khadar, by assisting in creating a place they could call home, PEOPLE reported. When the man noticed his kids’ struggles and complaints over the skyrocketing rent prices, he knew the best way to help them would be to clear this dilemma. He came up with a genius plan to revamp their childhood home and help them get one step closer to achieving financial stability. Upon reading the report on November 30, the internet quickly took to loving this supportive, thoughtful and selfless dad’s plans.

The two young women moved to New York to chase their dreams, but found themselves grappling with absurd rent prices every month on top of other bills. Jameelah was spending $2,200 per month in Cobble Hill, while Hameedah had a whopping $2,800 monthly studio rent to pay in Brooklyn. When their dad heard of these amounts, he knew it was just discouraging.  According to BBC News, over 40% of adults under the age of 30 are spending over 30% of their income on rent. Nick Gallent, a professor of housing and planning at University College London, noted that this dilemma is seriously affecting the youth and the future. "Despite all the economic problems, house prices and rents continue to nudge upwards," he said.

Saving has become a luxury, and basic expenses and living are becoming strenuous, and Jamal didn’t want that for his children. “I remember being their age and homeownership was a no-brainer. It is not so simple these days,” the dad acknowledged. So he came up with a powerful plan. He discovered that his daughters could follow their dreams and build their adult lives and careers right in their childhood home in Maryland. He began a large project of revamping his home to offer the perfect space his girls needed.

“I am extremely passionate about interior design. I use TikTok and Architectural Digest for inspiration. I have sourced pieces from Facebook marketplace and vintage markets,” the dad proudly shared. The third and youngest daughter, Mounah (@dailymoons), has been documenting this journey on TikTok. In one video, she revealed that her dad was turning his basement into a studio setup for Hameedah and renovating the bedrooms for Jameelah. Another video captured Jamal with his two daughters, drafting a plan per their requirements to work on his home. He was sure to customize every bit himself, putting not just his brain but also his love into the project.

After a couple of videos of the setup, Mounah finally revealed a first look at a built apartment, ready to be further furnished and completed. “Our dad started building it about seven months ago. She has spent these months customizing it to her liking and bouncing design ideas off him,” she mentioned. After spending time, over $40,000 and dedicated talent, the women will be able to move in sometime between this December and February next year. While the daughters are delighted to start their passionate ventures from their childhood space, their parents are even more delighted to be together again.

“My wife and I are extremely excited and grateful to have our girls back under one roof. I have dreamed about this day ever since they moved away for college,” Jamal remarked. “I felt like it was my time to step up and give them a better chance at their dream to own a home one day,” he added. The internet can’t cope with how adorable and supportive this gesture has been. @kayybeauty_805 said, “Prime example of a man that actually wanted to have a child. They never stop showing up.” @neefahsong21 added, “This is truly a blessing."
