This dad tried to comfort his son by putting on fake nails and scratching his back in a way that soothes him.
Single parenting is not easy, one has to be on their toes at all times. Single parents work endlessly to provide their kids with all they can but some days need more creativity than others. This was seen in a recent video uploaded by a dad who tried to comfort him and be there for him during the weekends. He did this in an unusual way, he used fake nails to copy mom's back scratches. In a sweet video from @trentwi11ams on TikTok, we see press-on nails worn by him as he scratches his son's back.
“When it’s dad’s weekend and he asks me to scratch his back like his momma does but could never figure out what he meant by that until...(Dollar General sticky nails for the win),” read the text overlay in the video. Williams's efforts are endearing and refreshing to watch. For this reason, the video has received 500K views on it and people have showered Williams with compliments.
@Megan commented on the video, "This is probably the sweetest most effortful thing I’ve seen in a long time. Good job for figuring it out!" @carrenamaynard wrote, "LMAO, I thought this was a stepmom video and thought it was sweet then saw you. Still sweet! Good job, Dad!" @maggie shared, "If I’m around my niece makes me scratch her back cause 'no one knows how to do it right'." @Lexus added, "Creating core memories." @mita commented, "The fact that you even cared enough to do this is just *chefs kiss* Great job, Dad!" @wisdom70 appreciated Williams, "He has a great Dad, it so the little things that matter."
@trentwi11ams also uploaded another video, where he is seen reassuring his son as he was nervous before jumping into a pool. “I’m not gonna let you go, I love you", says the father as he encourages the little munchkin to jump in the pool. As soon as the boy dives into the water, the dad catches him in his arms and hugs him.
People were quick to comment on this video as well. @AustinBrents joked, "My dad would have intentionally let me go to show me that what I was afraid of was nothing to fear." @daisythedog expressed, "This is the most attractive content of everything you posted." @Thereasa wrote, "I got my kids to run and jump in. I knew if they just walked up to the edge they wouldn't jump in." @user4998 said, "That’s absolutely adorable. Being a father is the greatest thing I’ve ever done in my 35 years. By far." @WayneRichardson asked, "I am also strong, brave, and tough… where can I sign up for these swim lessons?!" @arielkinney wrote, "Awe my goodness. Little darling is adorable."
Truly, Williams is one of the sweetest fathers on TikTok and he is trying his best as a single parent and we cannot have enough of this father-son duo.
