Kids nowadays love their screen time and they make sure to get their hands on a phone when they are being fed or feeling bored. So parents have to be extra careful about what their children end up watching while scrolling through videos. Mom @melissajean1223 posted a video of her partner in which he shows how he uses the Guided Access settings on his iPhone to stop kids from leaving an app, changing the volume, or doing anything else that they usually do while having a phone.

The text overlay on the video shows, “Pregnant me: I’ll never give my baby a phone” and “Me as a mom: Enjoy this hack because we all need help keeping kids occupied.” After this, Melissa Jean talks about her partner who has found the "ultimate parenting hack." Then, he explains how to make an iPhone childproof using the Guided Access feature.

First, the dad types "Guided Access" on his phone and turns it on. After this, he goes to the app that one needs guided access for. He begins to play a video what a child would be watching. He then triple-taps on the lock screen and a note reads, "Triple Access has started." Then he clicks the screen again and goes to "Options" and disables "side button," "volume buttons," "motion," "keyboards," "touch" and "time limit." When he opens the video again, the screen doesn't allow any movement. "They can't mess with it," says the dad.

"We never thought that we would be the kind of parents to give our baby an iPhone," says the mom. The video ends with the text overlay, "Don't worry...our child doesn't have a phone all the time. But when he does, he can't mess with things now."

To disable Guided Access, exit the app by triple-tapping the lock button. This will bring up the Guided Access menu where you can easily turn off the Guided Access setting to disable it. If you require additional assistance, please inform me, as per ScaryMommy. The hack video went viral with about 10.2 million. It is captioned, "Still one of the best parents' hacks out there for when you need it. Have you used this before?!"

People on the social media platform found the hack really helpful. @amymagz519 commented, "Bless your heart! We were just talking about how in the world you can do this! Thank you!!" @kaylynnbuchanan wrote, "Started doing this when my son started showing interest in my phone. It’s a lifesaver." @smallfish03x2 said, "Thank goodness we learned this like three years ago. Even showed our PT how to do it for hers...she uses it for the other kids LOL." @lylathebooknerd shared, "Omg I needed this for my kiddos. The amount of times I told them not to touch the phone is ridiculous." @jesiku2313 expressed, "I did not KNOW about the last half! I need to figure that out."

This hack will surely help parents to keep their kids away from browsing through random apps and messaging people or even calling them mistakenly.
