The dad double-checked with his wife whether it was true that babies don't have kneecaps. Then, he went on to make fun of his son.

Babies take about 10 years to fully develop kneecaps and that's how beautiful the whole process of growth and development is. However, when this dad learned that his son does not have kneecaps, he had the most hilarious response. The couple, Shelby and Dylan, shared a video on their TikTok channel, @shelbanddyl, which captured the husband's jokes about their infant son not having kneecaps.

The video begins with Dylan saying, "Are you sure?" while holding his son up. He then again turns to his wife and goes, "Shelby!" before keeping the child down on the ground and telling him, "Bro, you ain't got no kneecaps." Meanwhile, Shelby laughs in the background. A few minutes later, when their child starts to cry, the dad says to his son, "Don't whine just because you ain't got kneecap" and begins to laugh. His wife joins in the laughter but points out, "That's not why he's whining."

Dylan again starts to make fun of their son. After the dad throws a ball to the child, he teases him again. "I got something on him now," the dad shares. The mother objects to making fun of their child and says, "Don't be making fun of that boy just because he doesn't have a kneecap" and the duo continues to laugh. The man then goes on to say that he has been trying to figure out this whole time why their son walks like that. So, Shelby genuinely asks, "Walks like what?" to which Dylan jokes: "Like he ain't got no kneecap."

Then the dad tells his wife, "I'm 20-something years old..." She clarifies, "You're 29. You're almost 30." He continues, "And I'm just now figuring out that children below six, don't have kneecaps." He then asks his wife what children have in place instead. She informs him that they don't have anything there. To which he responds, "It's just uncapped. It's just open knee." Dylan, then pointing at his child, says, "Whenever I coach his little league team, does it mean it will be disrespectful if I ask the children to take a knee? Would they be like, how or what knee? Or maybe, I'm just not gonna say anything to them and I'm gonna say take a knee and I'm gonna look over at you and be like..."

Shelby finishes his line of thought saying, "Because they don't know that they don't have kneecaps" and they both go hysterical. The husband added that he didn't even know that they didn't have knees. The wife tells him that their son will officially have a kneecap by the time he is 10. "10 years without knees...," the father says while looking at his son. Meanwhile, the woman clarifies, "Fully formed knees." When the husband chimes in that it, "Couldn't be me," Shelby reminds him: "That was you."

The video garnered about 47 million views and is captioned, "It only took him nearly 30 years to find this out." People found the husband's response funny. @movie502cat commented, "If my kneecaps are 10 years younger than me, why do they feel like they're 10 years older?" @emmalanilaa wrote, "I was today years old, learning kids have no kneecaps... hahaha I am 31, lmao." @lilcheyy_ shared, "It's still a kneecap just cartilage instead of hard bone while they learn to crawl and walk. The way he started roasting him though." @kmsglam said, "His roasting game is top tier! No need cap having... ahhh lil boy!"
