It's the time of the year when families come together to celebrate the holiday season. For some, it's a season of homely celebration and keeping things lowkey, while for others it's an opportunity for grand celebrations. One father recently took to the internet to share his ambitious Christmas tree project that took TikTok by storm. Lan Sansone—who goes by @lan_sansone—on TikTok captures a dad's honest effort to bring the grand holiday spirit into his home with a colossal Christmas tree.

Needless to say, the clip went viral amassing over 3.4 million views since it was posted back on November 27. "Pop was in charge of getting the Christmas tree," reads the overlay text at the beginning of the video. In the clip, the father can be seen with a large Christmas tree which looks to be around 20ft tall in a large living room adorned with a cozy fireplace. Next to it, stands the dad who explains that a worker is due to arrive for tree trimming. "We're gonna do a Christmas tree trimming."

In the video, the wife is heard asking a very valid question, "Where's all our furniture going to go?" to which the father's husband replies, "It's going to go around once we get the beautiful Christmas tree set, then we will decorate the room." The woman then asks "Where's the rug going to go?" and the father replies, "Let me go one step at a time honey." The video ends with a still of the dad standing beside the gigantic Christmas tree.

Many took to the comment section to talk about the grand planning, "I love everything about this," wrote @ladybits2020. "He is SO proud of this Tree!! No questions please wifey—he has a step-by-step plan," added @missfancy94. "This is hysterical, maybe a little excessive, Clark. But I love me a man that loves Christmas as much as I do!!," read a third comment by @xoxoverycherrie. Another comment talked about how the wife's reaction to all the planning was wholesome, "I love how she's pretending to trust the process in such a polite way. During the holiday season when most family members are together, fathers try and make the time all the more special with little effort from their side. However, not every father goes out of their way to make his family's time worthwhile. In another story, a mom Aubree Jones known on the platform as (@whataboutaub), talked about something that broke people's hearts. The video starts with Aubree's husband pointing out everyone's stockings in the house. "Whose is this? Is it an extra one?" the husband asks picking up one sock to which the woman replies that the stocking was hers. Hearing this, the husband wonders why it's empty and asks the wife, to which the wife says. "I didn't know. Santa didn't come for me," with a laugh. "It took him 10 years to notice it's been empty this whole time," read the caption.
