He turned to alcohol after that. The wife moved out of the house with her daughter because of her husband's allegations and alcoholism to the Northern Capital of the country, Hanoi. However, things took an altogether different turn when Lan started going to a different school because of moving cities. She found a girl who was born on the same date and in the same hospital as her, as per the outlet. The two girls became close friends with each other, which would eventually disclose the reason behind the girl "being too pretty." The duo had become such close friends that the other girl's mother organized a joint birthday party for the two of them.
At the party, the other girl's mom noticed that Lan looked surprisingly similar to her and the strikingly similar appearance was likely not a coincidence. The woman decided to get a DNA test and asked Hong if she would agree to one. The mom agreed and the DNA test revealed that the two girls had been switched at birth, probably due to a mishap caused by the hospital staff. Now, it was clear why the girl looked like neither of her parents and was the spitting image of her friend's mother instead.
After the truth came out, the two families decided to spend more time with each other for the benefit of the girls, as per the outlet. The parents have decided that they would tell the girls about the situation when they feel that the time is right. The families have not disclosed if they would take legal action against the hospital for the mixup or not. Many people online were shocked with how everything unfolded for the two families.
