Being there and holding on to each other in sickness and in health is one of the vows many couples take. A woman named Jennifer shared how her parents were loyally fulfilling that commitment in her recent video. The woman explained that her parents had been married for 63 years and they are still each other's best friends. In the clip, the grandfather is trying his level best to encourage his wife as she tries wigs after her chemotherapy but he hilariously "blows the assignment immediately."

“My parents have been married 63 years. My mom was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. This is how he encouraged her,” Jennifer hilariously said. The woman was waiting with her dad for her mom to wear the wig and show them the look. Jennifer sweetly explained the same to her dad and said, “Be encouraging.” The dad gave a very serious look and agreed and patiently waited for his wife to come out.

“She’s trying on wigs?” the dad asked in a caring tone as he got closer to see his wife. As soon as the mom came out, the dad immediately blurted, “Oh look at that!” As the mom stood innocently with her hands behind her back in her blue nightgown, she beautifully carried her jet-black long braided wig.

“I don’t believe I like that,” the dad honestly said before chuckling to himself. The mom, knowing her husband too well, knew he had a hilarious comment up his sleeve and began laughing. “You look like Willie Nelson,” the dad exclaimed. The mom and her daughter burst out laughing as the dad controlled his chuckles and giggles in support of being “encouraging.” The resemblance was indeed uncanny, given the braided style and the look that the singer posed in his days. The look was so adorably hilarious that the dad added, “No honey, we’ve got to get this.”

Though different, he did share much encouragement with his unique choice of words. The mom continued to adorably stand with her hands behind her back as she cackled at his words and in no time, the father-daughter were laughing together not at but with the mom. Commenters got a glimpse of what love and companionship look like. Still, they couldn’t help but laugh at the dad’s ruthlessly accurate statement. @rickydykes joked, “He blew the assignment immediately.”

@simplyshingi pointed out, “He’s making her laugh and that’s all that matters.” @shearlynem7 remarked, “As soon as he said, ‘Oh look at that,’ you knew something else was going to come out.” Others shared best wishes for recovery but had to stop for a chuckle. @soundbutterfly said, “When he said Will Nelson, I lost it! He’s just what she needs to get through this!” @niclo1997 said, “‘Be encouraging,’ 2 seconds later- ‘Oh I don’t think I like that’ I love how they still know how to have fun with each other after all these years.”
