Dad drives 5 hours to surprise little girl and show up for the daddy-daughter dance

The traditional daddy-daughter dance is common in multiple places and events because of its profound sentimental value. No matter one’s age, having a warm, gentle dance with one’s father will always be one of the most assuring and comforting things for a daughter. A woman named Anna shared a heartwarming video of her son who surprised his daughter by driving 5 hours and showing up for her daddy-daughter dance. The little girl had no idea about the same and was overwhelmed and her reaction was everything.

“My son and his wife drove 5 hours to take his daughter to the dance. If he wanted to, he would. I’m so proud,” the woman wrote via the text overlay. The dad showed up to the door with a bouquet of flowers and rang the bell. As soon as the daughter opened the door, she was baffled to see her father. She immediately ran to embrace him and burst into tears. “Hi! What’s up baby?” the dad said, as he hugged his little girl back. “Aw, don’t cry, you’re going to mess up your makeup!” her mom said as the girl was already ready for her dance.

Her dad ever so gently planted the sweetest peck on her head and continued to hold on to his daughter for as long as she needed. @optimusfine40 said, “She’s more happy that her dad came than the dance.” @mindy7197 said. “Way to go daddy. The girl didn’t want to let go of her dad. “We’re gonna dance!” her dad said. “Are you happy? Are you excited?” he asked, trying to calm her down. “I love you,” he said to her. “I love you too,” the girl replied, holding her tears back. In yet another video, the father-daughter duo are seen at the dance, having the time of their lives and creating what they can call a core memory.“My son and granddaughter were at the dance. I’m so proud of him as a father and husband,” the text overlay read. In the comments, Anna revealed that the little girl thought it was picture day and was all dressed for the same and she only knew of the daddy-daughter dance when her dad showed up at the door to surprise her.
