Precious moments, such as proposals, engagements, wedding ceremonies and pregnancies, are captured in photoshoots so one can look back and cherish them. With the same agenda, Nicole (@PackofPotatoes) decided to have a beautiful maternity photoshoot with her husband. But their dog Simba decided to upend the photoshoot and ended up sharing precious moments between him and Nicole's husband, Sebastian, leaving Nicole to be third wheeling through her own maternity photoshoot. She explains how Simba managed to steal her husband's attention over his wife and baby in a TikTok video clip that gained 8.6 million views.

Simba's strategy was not new to Nicole. A few years ago, Simba managed to crash their engagement photoshoot. She begins the video by explaining, "So, we just got our maternity photos back. They're beautiful. Don't get me wrong. But there's a problem, and it is the exact same problem that I posted about a few years ago with our engagement photos. That problem is that I'm 3rd wheeling my own photoshoot, yet again." As she goes through the photos, it is hard not to laugh while feeling bad for her. One hardly notices Nicole while the attention is drawn to Sebastian and Simba getting lost in each other's eyes while holding each other's hands. "I don't even need to be there, honestly. Look how beautiful they look. And then we have this one — let me zoom in for you," she says. "I feel like they physically couldn't cuddle harder than this. Are we noticing the hand-holding here?"

Just when she thought the photographer had captured a great shot of the entire family with Simba on her shoulder, she took a closer look and realized what was going on. "This one's cute 'cause Simba's like cuddling up to me. No. He wanted me to leave," Nicole shared. "And this man, whose child I've carried around in my body for nine months, this is him staring into our dog's eyes instead of mine. I'm not bitter, though. I'm OK. Congratulations to Sebastian and Simba," she added, showing the next shot of Simba sulking. "This is when I got upset and told Simba he was adopted." To add to the drama, her other rescue dog, Crumb, threw up in their outdoor setting of the maternity photoshoot.

People in the comments understood that Nicole was "not so jealous" of Simba "not so cutely" crashing their photoshoot. "I can't believe I'm Steve at my own maternity shoot," she replied to a comment referring to "me and you and your friend Steve." She also jokes that she's simply a surrogate when @heyyyitskalyn pointed out, "That's Simba's baby now. You're just carrying them." "I think Simba is just trying to let the unborn potato know that was his daddy first," commented @goodboienzo. When @mycactusbadmycactushood complimented that the photos were "good though!" Nicole joked, "Simba's gonna frame them and put them in his room." "Girl, I FEEL YOU. Cause my man cuddles the dogs for 15 minutes first thing and I'm lucky if I get a forehead kiss," shared @kristabelle94. Nicole captioned the video, "So happy for them."
