In a customer-facing role, where they expect employees to be prepared with a list of well-curated responses, honesty can be surprisingly refreshing. Similarly, a customer encountered an employee at Sonic who gave her a straightforward and honest response about the drive-thru chain's cold coffee. She was thankful for that. Raylyn—who goes by @pimpraylyn on TikTok–posted a video to share the incident with people.

Raylyn had a conversation with a girl working at Sonic when she went there to get a breakfast burrito. "I asked the girl if the iced coffee was good." The girl asked in turn, "Are you a coffee person?" The woman said yes. To that, the employee straightforwardly told her it wasn't good. Raylyn couldn't help but laugh as she recounted the event. "Thank you for being honest," she added. The woman captioned the video, "I wanted the Redbull anyways. I just needed to be validated in my purchase." Her video has garnered over 471k views and more than 75k likes. People took to the comments section to admire the drive-thru employee's stark honesty.

@amandaxox007 wrote, "When I worked at Sonic 3 years ago, the iced coffee was made with coffee concentrate syrup and the ice cream mix." While @theganjaweasel came to Sonic's rescue, "To be honest, to me, it tastes like the bottled Dunkin' ones or the international delight ones. It isn't horrible." While @aymee_kayy recounted, "Every time I've tried the Sonic iced coffee, I get the most painful stomach cramps. I finally gave up on it."

@lizrdkiwi_ remarked, "Me when people ask if the oleato stuff is good. I’m like, just get something you know you like. Don't be adventurous with that." @kristin.riddle wished, "Wish I saw this 3 hours sooner before I decided to try my first ever iced coffee from Sonic today because I literally took two sips and threw it in the trash."

In another similar story, a kind drive-thru worker helped a woman who was breaking down. Jessica Wonders–who goes by @sunfirepoppy on TikTok–pulled up at the Panera drive-thru while visibly crying despite wearing sunglasses. The worker at the drive-thru, an old man, noticed her state nonetheless. "I just went through the drive-through at Panera. A guy I could tell by his voice that took my order was the guy that has worked there forever, is an older gentleman," Wonders narrated. He looked at her and said, "You look like someone who could use some warm bread and butter.

The man told her the baguettes were fresh and had just come out of the oven. The kind gentleman also shared how the smell of bread reminded him of his mom and how his dad would arm wrestle with him for bread as a prize. The woman replied that she would indeed love to have some comfort food. As she shared the incident while eating her bread and butter, the woman cried again and shared how it helped her. "Go get some warm bread and butter if you're sad," the woman told people with tears in her eyes.
