Couple's romantic wedding proposal goes hilariously awry as ring gets lost in sand

At one point, everyone has envisioned their marriage proposal. The thoughts of a proposal may vary. Will they coordinate a flash mob in Times Square? Will they pull a Prince Harry and cook an engagement roast chicken dinner for you? You never know what kind of elaborate ruse people in love are ready to think of to prove their love. However, your imagination might cost you when the proposal does not meet your expectations. If you ever find yourself in an embarrassing proposal, there is not much you can do about it. While you can not change the past, you can surely use that experience as an insight into your relationship with your significant other. Maybe one day, you two could even laugh about it.

Speaking of proposals, you won't believe how this man's dreamy proposal turned into his biggest nightmare. He had everything planned out perfectly. The setting was Coogee Beach, Australia, with all his friends and family. But, after he proposed, the ring fell off his girlfriend's finger and got lost in the sand because it was too loose, reports India Today. The video begins with the couple, Zay and Sai, sharing a beautiful moment on the beach when he gets down on one knee to propose to her. The video then jumps to a scenario where the couple along with a few others, frantically looks for the lost ring. The video was originally posted on TikTok by (@jessicacondonn) and has garnered over 2.3 million views.

This is also why people do not like public proposals because they can go south instantly. What's worse is that now the whole world is watching you. "Absolute nightmare I literally would hate a public proposal because it isn't about the people then it's just a show," added @iamfyiya. In 2020, a British man’s plan to propose to his girlfriend went up in smoke when the tea light candles he used to spell out “Marry me?” caught fire and burned their apartment. According to NY Post, Albert Ndreu spent hours in his apartment in Sheffield, England, to make sure he had everything planned out for his proposal to Valerija Madevic. He left the apartment to receive his soon-to-be fiancée, when around 8:30 p.m., smoke was flowing from their apartment. “We walked up the stairs to the flat and there was smoke everywhere. I told him to call the firefighters because our house was on fire,” remembered Madevic. “I was in total shock. I was shaking because it looked like it was really bad.”

They had called the fire department, but the apartment was already gutted by the fire till then. Despite everything, Ndreu still got down on one knee and popped the question to Madevic. “He said that he messed up — our house was literally in flames — but asked me if I would marry him. And I said yes.” Nrdeu added, “The best news? She still said yes.” “I was so worried about everything going wrong I never imagined I could set the house on fire.” He also shares a life-saving tip for all potential couples out here. “I hope this serves as a warning for others that maybe there is such a thing as too much love or too many candles.”
