Becoming a grandparent is one of those wonderful milestones in life for many individuals and can lead to immense happiness. Golda Rose—who goes by @goldarose_ on Instagram—posted a heartwarming video where she shared her in-laws' wholesome reaction when they got to know that they would be grandparents. The text overlay reads, "POV: Your baby is going to have the best grandparents." In the short clip, we can see the future grandmother looking into a bag that Rose gives her containing her pregnancy test.

She looked at the camera with surprise and failing to contain her excitement, dropped down to sit on the floor to process the good news. The future grandfather still does not have any idea about what is going on and simply laughs to see his wife's reaction. Rose tells him, "You should look in the bag." Listening to her, he decided to take a quick peek into the bag and realized that his daughter-in-law was pregnant. The man was even more happy to hear the news and began to roll around on the floor while laughing. The woman revealed in the caption that the couple wanted to tell them as soon as they got to know the results of the pregnancy test.

She also revealed how it was her mother-in-law's 60th birthday that weekend and that news of the pregnancy was going to be the couple's gift to her. The woman expressed that she could not have asked for a more genuine reaction from her baby's grandparents. The video has since been reposted on Reddit, where it has got 29K upvotes and 286 comments. People who watched the video chimed in with their thoughts in the comments section. u/AfternoonPast3324 said, "Those are two people who have been waiting on a grandbaby to just completely spoil rotten."

u/jtrick18 commented, "Like others have said. You're screwed. Way more toys, gadgets, etc., will be flying your way and you'll be arguing about where you will put everything. Congrats on a lovely family." Another individual, u/lego-lion-lady, expressed, "If I ever have kids someday, I hope my parents are this excited when I tell them I'm pregnant." u/whatsarigatoni shared, "This is how my family reacted and it's a core memory. Will never forget them jumping up and down, the screaming and the happy tears."

Getting to grow up with loving grandparents around is truly a blessing. There is a preconceived notion that grandparents tend to spoil their grandkids, but a study done at the University of Oxford suggests otherwise. It revealed that children with close relationships with their grandparents had fewer problems. The healthy relationship with their grandparents also made it easy for them to maintain bonds with their peers. Professor Ann Buchanan from the Department of Social Policy and Intervention surveyed more than 1500 children to arrive at these results.

Kimberly Agresta, the co-founder of Engelwood's Agresta Psychotherapy Group, has also made observations that hint at the many benefits kids have when their grandparents are actively involved in their upbringing. She said in an interview, "If parents regularly involve grandparents in their child's life early on, a child can develop real emotional closeness to the grandparent and begin to see the grandparent as a source of strong social support." Agresta also mentioned how grandparents added to a child's sense of security.
