The woman shared several details of how they make it possible to continue the tradition even after a baby.
Many couples have an anniversary tradition to keep the memories and spark of their wedding day alive as well as to make new ones. It allows them to relive their happy moments over and over again. In a similar way, a couple who has been married for two years has a tradition to recreate things from their wedding day on their anniversary and many people on the internet thought that it was an interesting tradition. The woman, Sierra Liberty, who goes by @sierraliberty on Instagram, took to the platform to share everything about it.
"A year ago, on our wedding anniversary, my husband told me to put on my wedding dress and surprised me with a date night at our wedding venue, just the two of us," the text overlay of the video read as the couple drove in a car in their wedding outfits and went to the venue. The woman shared that a lot had changed since that date as they have had a baby in the past year and become a family of three. The video showed the couple finding out about the pregnancy, finding out that it was a girl, having a maternity shoot and holding the baby. "Even with a baby, we decided to continue this special anniversary tradition," Liberty revealed.
So the couple once again wore their wedding clothes and got ready for their special date night. "We began the night with a delicious dinner and made reservations for the same hotel we stayed in during our wedding night," the woman recounted. "We were spoilt with champagne and yummy desserts." She added, "We went through our memory box and re-read our vows to each other. We got to fall in love with each other all over again." As the couple cut their cake, the text read, "Two years down, forever to go." The caption read, "If you’re looking for a memorable tradition for your family, here’s your sign. Two whole years married to my best friend. Now, as a family of three! So thankful for this precious life I’ve been blessed with and the humans I get to share it with."
People took to the comments section of the video to appreciate the beautiful tradition. @christina.bradleyy wrote, "Also, can we talk about the fact you’re in your wedding dress 2 months postpartum! HOT MOMMA." @_tangledtayler_ commented, "Love doesn’t get any better than this! I love this idea so much! I’m 2.5 months postpartum myself and I can tell you right now I could NOT fit into my wedding dress." @casadolcecasaitalia remarked, "I adore this! I’ve been married for 21 years and it’s definitely the little things like this that help you through the hard times."
@angelic.frangelys expressed, "That’s an amazing way to keep using your wedding dress, too. Much better than throwing it in a box and forgetting about it." @bmgmom88 shared, "This is absolutely the sweetest thing I've ever heard of...I'd never be able to get back into my wedding dress, though. You guys have a beautiful family, wishing you many, many more years of anniversaries." @i_a.nna suggested, "You know what would be so cute, writing a letter to each other each time you visit there and placing it in that box and rereading it each time every year."
