Couple has the most wholesome reaction on learning they are going to be grandparents

The woman shared how she and her husband broke the news that her parents were going to be grandparents. The grandparents-to-be were seated at a table across from the couple. The latter decided to break the pregnancy news with the popular headphone trend. As the same suggests, the parents had headphones on with music playing while they had to figure out what the couple was saying to them simply by the movement of their mouths. The partners intently looked at the couple as the woman said, “I’m pregnant.” The mom almost instantly figured out what the woman was saying and repeated it to confirm the news. The dad, however, was trying hard. His first guess was the word “Hyper,” but he was wrong. “Keep saying it,” he said excitedly as he tried to focus.

While the mom almost in tears, asked, “Are you?” the dad kept asking them to repeat what they were trying to say. The mom, who now knew the good news, was filled with mixed emotions as she tried to contain her expression to not give away the surprise. The woman’s husband said, “You’re going to be a grandparent,” hoping that the dad would be able to destructure the rephrased message. However, all the dad could hilariously decode was, “Shorts… Shorts? You want me to what?” Continuing with much effort, the man slowed down his message for the dad and said, “You are to be,” but the dad simply guessed, “You are me.” The excited tension grew and the dad striving hard to figure out the message was too wholesome. “You are going to be a…” the man said.

Hilariously adorable as ever, the dad asked, “I am going to behave?” The man tried again and said, “You are going to be a grandfather.” In his third attempt at decoding the message, the dad finally understood. “I’m going to be a grandfather,” he said, feeling victorious after understanding the message. A few seconds later, in absolute disbelief, he asked, “I’m going to be a grandfather?”

Repeating the statement several times in surprise and happiness, the dad got up from his chair and flashed their widest tearful smile at his wife. He then went and hugged his daughter and husband, who couldn’t stop but wholesomely chuckle at the awe they found themselves in. “That is awesome,” the mom said as she went over to congratulate and hug the couple.
