Roman and Brittney Atwood (@romanatwoodvlogs), famous YouTubers and also a couple, were revisiting childhood tapes when they stumbled on a 1996 clip. It was a five-minute-long video capturing Brittney at a festival — nothing unusual or special, right? In fact, she had watched the clip perhaps a hundred times, but this time, she spotted a familiar face in it.

As shocking as it sounds, the thirty-year-old video had captured Roman and Brittney at the same place without them knowing. The couple posted the video on YouTube, reminding people of the "invisible string theory" all over again.

Brittney was only five when she came face-to-face with her husband, but had no idea about it until fifteen years later. The video shows Roman, then a stranger, walking past Brittney as she plays on the trampoline with her brother. "I can't get over this video; I can't even describe it — it's surreal," Roman said. Roman, who's a bit older than Brittney, happened to be at the same festival at the exact time with his friend Joey.

"There are probably a lot of married couples that have been in the same place at the same time, but to have it on camera [is wild]," Roman added. When he first noticed the bizarre coincidence, he spotted his friend, Joey, first, and froze the minute he saw himself on the screen. "Life is so funny, man. I am never surprised by how strange life is," Roman added.

Roman and Brittney's chance encounter further strengthens the famous "invisible string theory." Well, those who believe in it say we're all connected to our "soulmate" via a metaphorical string. In fact, the theory suggests that the universe keeps two people apart until the perfect timing. There is no scientific evidence backing the invisible string theory, but people still believe in true love and soulmates.

YouGov poll of almost 15,000 Americans found that 60% of people believe in the idea of soulmates. "Women (64%) are more likely than men (55%) to say they believe in this idea of a perfect romantic match," the survey revealed. In fact, their belief is so strong that another poll revealed that 60% of Americans would rather wait for a soulmate than settle for someone else (11%).

Meanwhile, reacting to Roman and Brittney's story, @riasarchives commented, "Invisible string theory. The fact that it was on video, and here you guys are, growing together and recording your life together; wow," @squintz_5155 wrote. "I honestly feel like our path in life is all predetermined and everything does happen for a reason, and you have the footage that proves that; that's crazy awesome to see."

Similarly, @aaron1ayala said, "Isn’t that crazy? Just imagine all the times this happened and it wasn't caught on film. Life is crazy. What a nice little reminder that everything happens for a reason. Thank you for sharing this and, as always, showing us the little things worth living for.
