Dealing with a pregnancy loss is quite a difficult thing and every person has their own way of grieving. So when a couple on TikTok experienced they decided to cope through humor, several parents could relate to their situation and took to the comments to console the couple and share positive things with them. The couple, Alex and Jon, who go by @alexandramadison on the platform posted a video about their resignation getting rejected from the DINKS "Dual Income No Kids."

The text overlay read, "When your resignation from being DINKS is denied." As the video began, the couple stormed inside a door. Alex was sitting inside playing the receptionist of the place. She said, "Welcome to the dual income no kids headquarters, how can I help you?" The couple angrily glared at her and the woman extended her hand forward for something. The receptionist handed their resignation back to them which the angry couple snatched back. "F*** you," the man mouthed as they left at the end of the skit. The receptionist awkwardly tapped her fingers together as everything unfolded. "We don't handle rejection very well here," the caption read.

"Jon and I have always posted skits inspired by what's going on in our lives, and that includes this one. We never thought we would be here making this 'follow-up' to our first video resigning as DINKs (Dual Income No Kids), but here we are," Alex explained. "And that's life. Real life. There are ups and downs, and along the way, I've discovered that a little (sometimes dark) humor brings moments of relief." The woman wrote that the post was a small part of their journey and a reminder that it was okay to give themselves permission to laugh. She joked, "To all the couples who had their DINK memberships renewed, did you turn your nursery into a wine cellar? We haven’t…just asking."

Got denied 6 times but they finally demanded all that DINK money back for an adoption! Under cover savings plan." @kerriselby shared, "We were denied 3 times (3rd application denied late stage) before our application was accepted. The granted application is currently sleeping in his bassinet." @nilofer.herself expressed, "I'm happy y'all gave yourselves time to heal, and we love some dark humor."

We don’t handle rejection very well here 🙃  Jon and I have always posted skits inspired by what's going on in our lives, and that includes this one. We never thought we would be here making this 'follow-up' to our first video resigning as DINKs (Dual Income No Kids), but here we are. And that's life. Real life. There are ups and downs, and along the way, I've discovered that a little (sometimes dark) humor brings moments of relief. This post is a small part of that journey, a reminder that it's okay to give ourselves and each other permission to laugh again. We can’t thank you all enough for your continued outpouring of support. And to all the couples who had their DINK memberships renewed, did you turn your nursery into a wine cellar? We haven’t…just asking.

The couple had made a video previously to announce their resignation as DINKS in a skit. The same receptionist welcomed them and asked if they were ready to cancel. "Yeah I guess another one bites the dust," the receptionist quipped. "You're glowing," she added and clarified that it was not a compliment when the woman said, "Thank you." She asked exit questions like, "Did you not enjoy the peace and quiet, the disposable income."

The woman replied, "That was our favorite part." The receptionist suggested that they could've bought a boat. "You two were some of our best members, sad to see you go," the woman concluded after explaining to the couple everything that would come with their resignation. "We had a good run," the caption read.
